Weekend experience

Portada.jpg

Greetings dear members of this community, I am going to tell you my experience of this weekend, specifically of yesterday Saturday that I went as in other opportunities to buy fish in Puerto Cabello, actually I have been doing this for some time every so often.

I will tell you that this displacement that I make from Maracay to Puerto Cabello, to buy fish, is mainly for the quality of the fish that is quite fresh, instead in Maracay the fish that is obtained, and in supposedly the best fishmongers, is in most cases fish that do not have very good refrigeration, because in the fishmongers prefer to sell it thawed to appear freshness, that is why the strong smell of fish that is perceived in them.

Well, we went early on Saturday morning to Puerto Cabello for that purpose, because you have to take into account that many times you have to buy the fish that they have of the day, because it is a place that many people go to buy fish because it is known that you can always get there any variety and size.

My first photos were taken when we were passing by the palito, and the truth is that there was not much affluence of people there at that time, who usually stop in the area for breakfast, as there are many places that sell empanadas and the like to have a good taquito.

Arriving at the place, as you can see in the photo there are many awnings where people take shelter from the sun while they are not in the water, because the truth is that it was an inclement sun yesterday.

Also, you can see in the photo that place where the fish is sold, there are many stalls, each with huge cellars, that some have made of cement, to keep the fish that is continuously arriving from the fishermen or from the cellars that are responsible for the transfer from the place where the fishermen arrive to the place where they sell it.

So, in this opportunity I bought in two places the fish that I liked, in the first one I bought a 4.5 kilos mackerel and in another place a 3.5 kilos snook, as you can see in the photos both places where the people in charge are cleaning and chopping the fish; I also took the opportunity to buy a kilo of tuna to prepare one of the meals of the main week.

Also, I show you in a photo the large amount of fish of different sizes and types that these suppliers have in these large cellars in which they deposit their fish for sale; in this way I made my way to buy fish and already have for Easter, as is the tradition in my country to eat fish at Easter.

early morning shopping hhmm this is good time to buy things when most of the people are lazy enough to wake up and do such things. I also prefer doing such type of shopping in the morning or when the store opens, that is the best time. WOW you bought some good amount of fish, for Easter as well hhmmm good thinking. Thanks for sharing your weekend experience!!!
