Cuando somos niños, usualmente se tiende a imitar el o los talentos que tuvieron nuestros padres, queremos ser como ellos, son nuestros héroes y siempre, pero siempre por lo menos en mi caso fueron los mejores en lo que hacían, para lo que eran aptos. Mi padre era el mejor chofer de plaza y mi madre la mejor profesora de Castellano y Literatura, además de pintora, artesana, poetisa, escritora, entre otras cosas.

Con unas hermosas manos donde desbordaba su creatividad, entre otras muchas cosas. Pero, aun así había algo dentro que me hacía sentir diferente a los demás, marcaba mis potencialidades, había una espina allí hincando mi alma que me decía que era apta para sacar números—siempre amé mi carrera como Administrador de Proyectos y Contratos—, rendir lo que me encomendaban.

Amo lo que hago. Siempre me ha encantado mediar para que las aguas sigan su curso. Nadar—el mar es una de mis mejores terapias, medicinas y me trae hermosos recuerdo de la niñez—limpiar, bailar, decorar mi hogar y escribir, este talento me viene desde mis ancestros.

Mis padres siempre nos decían: “Siéntanse aptos para cuando realicen un oficio, sea el que sea, intenten ser los mejores, nunca pasar por encima de nadie, y hacerlo con amor y dedicación”. Aunque a mi padre le hubiese encantado tener un médico en la familia, no fue posible, en su línea generacional existen muchos en esa carrera, más, sin embargo, apoyaba lo que sus hijos quisieron ser.

Creían fervientemente en que había que educarse, estudiar, prepararse para el futuro porque si no, nos podía llevar por delante. Y que el primer talento debía ser la honestidad. Que todos deberíamos trabajar para ser aptos en eso. He intentado seguir su legado, estoy orgullosa de los padres que la vida me regalo.

When we are children, we usually tend to imitate the talent or talents that our parents had, we want to be like them, they are our heroes and always, but always, at least in my case they were the best in what they did, for what they were apt. My father was the best driver in town and my mother was the best Spanish and Literature teacher, as well as painter, craftswoman, poet, writer.

With beautiful hands where his creativity overflowed, among many other things. But, even so, there was something inside that made me feel different from the others, it marked my potential, there was a thorn in my soul that told me I was apt to make numbers -I always loved my career as a Project and Contracts Administrator-, to perform what I was entrusted to do.

I love what I do. I have always loved to mediate to keep the waters flowing. Swimming-the sea is one of my best therapies, medicine and brings back beautiful childhood memories-cleaning, dancing, decorating my home and writing, this talent comes from my ancestors.

My parents always used to tell us: "Feel fit for when you do a job, whatever it is, try to be the best, never go over anyone's head, and do it with love and dedication". Although my father would have loved to have had a doctor in the family, it was not possible, in his generational line there are many in that career, but, nevertheless, he supported what his children wanted to be.

They fervently believed that we had to be educated, to study, to prepare for the future because if not, it could take us ahead. And that the first talent should be honesty. That we should all work to be apt at that. I have tried to follow his legacy, I am proud of the parents that life gave me.
