(ESP/ENG) Papas guisadas | Stewed porridge

Hola estimados comensales, está es mi segunda oportunidad por acá compartiendo un poco de mi cocina, quiero mencionar que no me considero un buen cocinero mi esposa siempre me dice que la comida me queda deliciosa, claro en las oportunidades que me toca o amanezco con ganas de preparar yo el almuerzo.

Hello dear diners, this is my second opportunity to share a little bit of my cooking, I want to mention that I don't consider myself a good cook, my wife always tells me that the food is delicious, of course when it's my turn or when I wake up wanting to prepare lunch myself.

Mi esposa tuvo un largo día de trabajo ayer y hoy durmió hasta tarde así que decidí preparar yo algo para que cuando se levantará no tuviera que hacer nada, solo sentarse a disfrutar de la comida, por mi parte no quería salir a comprar nada, revise la nevera en busca de ingredientes para preparar y me encontré esto.

My wife had a long day at work yesterday and slept late today so I decided to prepare something so that when she got up she wouldn't have to do anything, just sit and enjoy the food, I didn't want to go out and buy anything, so I checked the fridge for ingredients to prepare and found this.

Papas, pimentón, tomate, cebolla, carne molida, un cubito, salsa para pasta y el ingrediente principal, mucho amor al cocinar.

La preparación no fue nada del otro mundo, simplemente lave y pele las papas, las dejé enteras.

The preparation was no big deal, I simply washed and peeled the potatoes, leaving them whole.

Luego corte en trozos pequeños el pimentón, tomate y la cebolla, al tener los ingredientes principales listos me dispuse a cocinar la salsa.

Then I cut into small pieces the bell pepper, tomato and onion, and once I had the main ingredients ready I started to cook the sauce.

Sofreí la carne molida por qué me gusta que esté bien cocida antes de continuar, luego le agregue el tomate, la cebolla y el pimentón, y los sofreí también junto con la carne y lo tape por aproximadamente 5 min.

I sautéed the ground beef because I like it to be well cooked before continuing, then I added the tomato, onion and paprika, and I sautéed them together with the meat and covered it for about 5 minutes.

Le incluí las papas enteras, le agregue una taza grande de agua, suficiente para cubrir las papas, y le eche el cubito, lo tape y lo puse a hervir por media hora, luego lo destape y lo deje que evaporara el agua, y quedo una salsa deliciosa.

I included the whole potatoes, added a large cup of water, enough to cover the potatoes, and added the cube, covered it and put it to boil for half an hour, then uncovered it and let the water evaporate, and it turned out a delicious sauce.

Cuando mi esposa despertó se topó con la sorpresa, aparte de que a mi hija le encanta la papa y comió mucho en esta ocasión, esta fue una preparación improvisada, rápida y sencilla, con pocos ingredientes y con un sabor delicioso, espero que si se animan a realizarlo lo disfruten tanto como yo.

When my wife woke up she was surprised, apart from the fact that my daughter loves potatoes and ate a lot on this occasion, this was an improvised preparation, quick and simple, with few ingredients and with a delicious flavor, I hope that if you dare to make it you will enjoy it as much as I did.
