WAR FOR PEACE
Udo grew up among abandoned orphans with a hideous past. In this hidden orphanage, nobody really cared what you did with your life. Their only concern was to make sure the kids are fed twice a day. You were free to roam beyond the walls of the orphanage, but it was almost impossible to escape the orphanage because it was surrounded by a vast wild forest.
Krain was Udo's Best friend, they grew up together and they did everything together because they had the same interests. They enjoyed sneaking out to explore the forest. It was on such adventures that they came across two baby wolves.
"Would you look at these cuties." Krain said to Udo.
"Those are no cuties, wait till they grow up, they will lose all cuteness."
"Let's keep them." Krain continued.
"Are you insane? who keeps wild wolves as pets?"
"Then let's be the first to. Don't tell me you are scared."
"The mighty Udo is never scared." Udo said beating his chest.
With that he agreed to keep the wolves, one for each of them. From that day their crew went from two to four, they took the wolves anywhere they went, well except into the four walls of the orphanage. They built a hidden cage for their babies outside the walls. The wolves made their hunting much easier.
On Udo's 18th birthday, they decided to have a little party outside the walls. With the help of their wolves they got themselves enough meat for the celebration, it was way past lights out at the orphanage, but that didn't bother them because they had ways of sneaking in. As they sat round a fire under the moon enjoying roasted meat, they heard tweaks breaking in the bush.
"Show yourself!" Udo said as he picked up his locally made bow and arrow.
"Don't shoot, it's just me." An old man with a blunt in his hand came out of the woods.
"Who the hell are YOU?"
"Who I am is not important. The question is do you know who you are?"
"What is that supposed to mean?"
The old man narrated the story of Udo's origin. Told him how his parents were hung to death because they were lovers from two enemy kingdoms. He also told him that he was destined to bring peace between the Arizona Kingdom and Skunk Kingdom.
"I can see that blunt in your hands have gotten to your head." Udo said.
"The prophecies are never wrong. It clearly states; PEACE SHALL ONCE AGAIN REIGN AMONG THE TWO KINGDOMS THROUGH A CHILD WHO HAS THE BLOOD OF THE TWO KINGDOMS INSIDE HIM."
"The nuns at the orphanage told me a whole different story."
"That is because they are on oath to make sure you don't find this out. Mind you so many powers out there don't want this prophecy to be fulfilled."
"Krain, what do you think about this?"
"Well Udo, this old man actually looks high AF, but then I always knew you had a great destiny. This might just be it."
"Ok Oldie, what do I have to do to fulfill the prophecy?"
"First we need to get you trained, you wouldn't be defeating your enemies with those." The old man said pointing at his bow.
From that day, they started severe training. Every hour, every day, the old man taught them a thousand ways to kill a person and how to avoid getting killed. One would wonder where the old man learned all this skills. He got them weapons of different sizes which they used for the training.
Few weeks into their training, The Old man came to them one certain evening and said.
"It's time! We leave for Skunk Kingdom tomorrow."
"C'mon Oldie, I'm not ready yet. I haven't mastered all the moves you taught me."
"We don't have time anymore. In two days, the king of Skunk plans to conjure a magic that would wipe out the entire Arizona Kingdom."
"Magic? I thought the nobody had access to the magic field."
"A lot has happened outside these walls that you don't know about. Few years ago, The Skunks finally defeated the Arizona's, claiming the magic field and using it to conjure dark magic and Deadly beasts. It has been impossible to infiltrate the kingdom, but I totally believe in you. The whole of Arizona believes and depends on you. The King of Arizona has promised to step down and hand the crown over to you if you defeat the skunks."
That night, none of them could sleep. Udo stepped out and Saw Krain sitting outside, her beautiful face was made to glow BY THE LIGHTS OF THE MOON.
"You don't have to come with me to Skunk." Udo said as he walked down the stairs.
"Yeah, except the oldie said something to me before he left."
"What did he say to you?"
"He said I'm the rightful heir to the Skunk throne, the king killed my parents and had me dumped here."
"You can't believe everything that Oldie says."
"Udo, this is my fight too. I guess you are not the only one with a hideous past."
At first light, the Old man came and led them out of the forest with their wolves by their sides.
First they headed to Arizona Kingdom where they got the kings blessings, weapons and of courses a boat for crossing the sea that lies between the two kingdoms. As they got closer to Skunk, they saw dragons hovering over the kingdom.
"Krain, how well can you swim?"
"Why are you asking that?"
"You need to go under water and make it to shore, while I distract the beasts."
"No way Udo, you don't stand a chance against those dragons."
"We don't have an option, just do it!"
Krain did as she was told. Immediately the dragons sensed Udo, they came for him, grabbed him with it's tail and soared high into the sky, squeezing the life out of him as it flew. Krain finally made it to shore, only to look back and saw Udo falling like a lifeless body from the great height which the dragon released him from.
"This is bad! seems our mission ended before it even started."
To her greatest surprise, she saw Udo heading back for the dragon.
"Is h-e fl-y-ing?"
The dragon released several fire balls his way, but he manoeuvered them. with his axe, he slay the dragon ripping it's head from it's shoulders.
"A true Blood." The Skunk King Said as he watched Udo in action. "Release every single beast! Kill that boy!"
Krain came running into the scene with the wolves right behind her and the battle commenced. Metals clashed, beasts roared, Men wailed in pain. With every kill, they were getting closer to the King, who was surrounded by hefty warriors with hideous powers. They were almost close to the king when one of the warriors who had invisibility powers snuck up on Udo and put a sword through him.
"No O!!" Krain screamed almost crying as she watched Udo fall.
She kept fighting but she was outnumbered and surrounded. Her weapon was taken from her and she was carried to the King.
"I have been thinking why your face looks so familiar. You must be my brother's son. Carry her into the palace, let me show her where I killed her parents."
The King talked on and on, boasting of his accomplishments. Suddenly voices of soldiers wailing was heard outside the palace. Then the palace door fell open revealing Udo with several packs of wolves behind him.
The kings warriors didn't stand a chance, they were all killed including the king. At the end of it all, Udo became the king of Arizona while Krain became the Queen of Skunk. They got married and there was peace throughout their reign. And They lived happily ever after. [Been a long time I said that in any of my stories 😀]

So in the end, they weren't just orphans but great man and woman of a kingdom... Really amazing.

You tell a good story here. It has an epic tone to it and its heroes fulfill an epic destiny. The wolves are a great touch, as though from the beginning they are part of the heroic prophecy.
A couple of notes about the story: there is a lot of killing and stabbing but you don't dwell on that and it's not gory so it passes. Just be careful about how you portray such scenes--always keep in mind our rules about violence. Also, toward the end you misspell 'packs', so it reads 'parks'. Obvious typo you probably want to fix. We appreciate that you engage meaningfully with other authors.

Wow, I did not see that happy ending coming! I really hoped those wolves would provide some good protection, but they seemed not to be present during the battle. Evidently they just make good pets! Ha ha.

A powerful and lovely story you have here. I was glued to it as if I was watching a movie. You truly have a great story telling skills... Nice one.
I'm glad Udo and krain ended up uniting the two kingdom with their love. They claimed their thrones after winning the war and got married afterwards, living happily ever after.. That's one hell of an epic story..
But can someone actually train a wolf?

I doubt a wolf can be tamed. When it is little you can have it as a pet, but once it starts growing and learning that human flesh is delicious.. it's best you let it go.

The good thing with fiction is that you can do whatever you want with your characters. You can explore the impossible.
Exactly.. But inkwell limits me in some way. There was something I wanted to add to mine but remembered their rules.. I had to change my story in a way.
