The Gentle Giant

Many of you may know this monstrous man, Magnor the massive giant of the burning lands but do you know his backstory? He hasn't had it all that good at an early age he watched his mother get slaughtered in front him in the infamous Battle of Jorad. A battle between titans and giants where they both were almost completely eradicated. The titans were against killing children so Magnor and a few of his cousins were left alive. Even worse he had to watch his brethren and his mother get slaughtered right before his eyes. A truly horrific event to go through as a kid and being left alive going through the shock and awe of seeing those events take place must have had a profound effect on the young giant.

Magnor's size now is a staggering 900 chickens, yes that is the official unit of measurement in the Splinterlands. He lives deep in the caves of the molten mountains, It is said he does not take visitors in his home but there he maintains the flows of lava providing power and air to the burning lands. Magnor is now nearly 400 years old and still walking the burning lands and in his physical prime as well no one dares challenge this behemoth.

He also has his trusty spear named Roz, It is rumoured to have been with him for nearly 200 years now and tasted the blood of many foes. He shares a deep connection with Roz speaking to it when he has some alone time and claiming it speaks back to him. One thing can be said for sure DO NOT COME BETWEEN MAGNOR AND ROZ!

Magnor is said to devour bones as his primary source of food and in the burning lands that is plentiful. The troll caves are said to collect bones of the creatures they kill, but sometimes their home caves become crowded and they must dispose of excess bones. All excess bones are brought to a special designated area in Zariba Cave City where they are picked up by Magnor once a week. He is said to make quite an awesome bone broth which he consumes daily from his massive stone thermos.

Even though Magnor has gone through some horrific events in his childhood he considers himself a friend to everyone living underground. On rare occurrences, someone or something will try to attack the friendly giant he dispatches them quickly and painlessly. If not for him and all he does to maintain the flow of lava the burning lands could be in disarray and chaos. He does not seek out battle but if ordered he will fight for the torch, War is said to be one of the giant's greatest honours and he feels his ancestors or still watching over him.

One of Magnors favourite pastimes is hunting small critters in the caves. When he catches one he is overjoyed and holding the puny creature in his massive hands he goes around showing it off with a massive sense of accomplishment. When he is finally bored he lets traumatized creature go completely unharmed back to where it came from. He is also said to enjoy the concerts at Rock stage but has book well in advance as he takes up a massive 30 seats.

Over the course of his life, it is truly astonishing to see how gentle the giant really is. He could hold a lot of ill will to the titans and people of the burning lands. Instead, he decides to carry out his days performing all the much-needed work to make the burning lands flow. If he ever decided to stop doing his vital work thousands of people would be without power and heat. It is incredible that after all this time he has not decided to take revenge or go on a rampage decimating the foes that destroyed his family and village.
