Celebrating Aya’s 14th Birthday with Food, Family and Fun in Our Lovely Province Home

Yesterday, we celebrated a very special day of my husband’s niece Aya turned 14! Her birthday was full of joy and delicious food.

The preparations actually started a day before her birthday. We made a lot of lumpia to share with family. Here in the province even if it’s a day before the celebration, everyone wants to help. We all worked together, cooking and preparing. It was fun because many hands made the work easy. The uncles and cousin didn’t even need an invitation, the came anyway!

Making lumpia was simple because we had plenty of people helping. We laughed and talked while wrapping each piece. Even the small things, like chopping vegetables and mixing the filling, felt special because we were doing it together. It reminded me how food can bring family closer.

On the day of Aya’s birthday, the celebration became even more lively A whole roasted pig was prepared. Everyone arrived with cheerful greetings. It was a happy gathering.

There was so much food! From the lumpia, dessert like spaghetti and macaroni we made the day before other dishes, everyone could enjoy a celebration. Aya looked very happy and excited, receiving greetings and gifts from family and her classmates.

I felt grateful to be part of this celebration. Seeing everyone enjoy the food and the company made all the preparation worthwhile. Celebrating birthdays in our province is always joyful because family is always close and everyone shares in the happiness.

Aya’s 14th birthday was a reminder that the simplest moments, good food and helping hands, create the best memories.
