The prettiest coffee of them all

Since moving to Mexico I have made some lovely friends, mostly due to our children becoming friends themselves. One woman and I try to make it a point to have a weekly coffee date where we can chitchat mostly about our endeavors and the general f*$%kery in the world.
One afternoon she writes, we have to go for a rose coffee!! A rose what?
She took me to this lovely little coffee shop with sinful desserts and shelves filled with handmade artists' wares for purchase. It had an ornate lounge chair by the window and leather-bound books on the small coffee table. Outside there was a terrace with small iron tables and chairs and a beautifully tiled sink to use after your time in the restroom. We sat inside white walls and tiles surrounding, basked by the breeze from the door and baking from the kitchen and suddenly the barista arrived with the coffee.
Initially, it was too pretty to drink so I snapped some photos but then I drank it. It was a rich coffee infused with rose oil. It was a delicate infusion. I shuld have removed the petals prior to driking. Despite roses being edible I did not love my last chewy sips of coffee.

Hello @dredreams
so tempting.jpg
That's a lovely cup of coffee there. It's unique, and I like it a lot.
I get the part about removing the petals. I would have probably done the same to avoid them going soft and chewy:)

Yes, it was a nice novelty, my daughter is not a fan of coffee but will partake in this one from time to time. I think because it is so dainty and feminine in appearance. Thank you for commenting <3

Neither did I, I was unsure but it was tasty, though I still like a plain ol' cuppa lol. I keep forgetting to credit the photos as nearly most are my own.

My friend is a tea drinker, lol. I think out for a coffee just became the catch phrase regardless if it's tea or coffee

Never had a coffee with roses but it looks absolutely stunning!
If the taste was anything near to how good it looks, it must have been great :)

I shall take note about the petals in case I ever get the chance to try it!

Thanks for sharing!
