The street cats of Mexico - Captain Swatz

avatar

#hivecats I'm in love will all the street cats! Cats hold a special place in my heart and they are undoubtedly an animal that I understand the absolute most. When I arrived here I quickly saw the stray animals that roam the streets. Stray dogs are particularly interesting as they act as sovereign beings alongside humans as they all go about their day. Alas, I don't understand dog behavior nearly as well as I do cats and frankly, they make me a little nervous as I find them unpredictable. This doesn't stop me from interacting with a friendly dog but I will not approach one, unlike the cats. I approach all cats, lol
Let me introduce Captain Swatz. This black-and-white ruffian lives in a small area that has some lovely features; a dive shop that feeds him, a fish restaurant, an unused concrete pad with a roof and gate, and plenty of cars to sleep under.
Now, as cute as he appears he is a little unpredictable himself and this is why we named him Captain Swatz. He enjoys being stroked, in fact, he greets me sweetly and rubs his little fuzzy body against my leg when he sees me. But, there is a limit to how much love he receives, so when he is satisfied he gives me a firm swat. Mostly without claws.
Let me know if you like these little cat stories, I have many

and one day I will tell you about the cat who moved in.
