The Heart of the Sublime

avatar

Good morning all. Its #sublimesunday!
I'm feeling very nostalgic today. Something very sad just happened yesterday, but... I'm going to take you back to the beginning.

I hope that when you finish reading the journey, you won't be sad. You'll be hopeful with me. (oh.. it's too long to tell in one post. I'm sorry if you're not one of those people who follow along over time. hahaha I certainly can understand, but - it's just the way it is. Those who are meant to follow - will)

Very brief recap of 5 years lol (as brief as I can - Skip ahead if you already know!!!)

  • I joined Steemit in 2016. It was so much fun, I knew absolutely nothing about crypto, and I didn't care because I was just having that much fun. Built two projects here that came SO close to having the success I dreemed about - not just for me, most importantly for the community. Justin Sun/Ned - screeching halt.

  • Hive came. I wanted to give it a try, I said I was going to give it a try. I tried to give it a try. My heart was broken on so many levels from Steem - Hive felt like it might be the rebound relationship that comes at the wrong time. I fell into a very sad mindset. Very sad.

  • Uptrennd whispered. Long story short, Uptrennd is gone now. Very much like Justin Sun/Ned. But in the beginning, it reminded me in all the very BEST ways of Steemit 2016. Only this time, I knew so much more. I joined, ignited people with giggles and treasure hunts and fun and generosity - and before I knew it - we had the blessing and support of the founder to start an amazing project there. It THRIVED. beyond my wildest dreems. Then... 6 months later, we sensed disaster coming. We started building a new project meant to lift the cryptoverse. (the one we are currently testing - p.s. it's still going perfectly. eek!) and then - the "surprise" of Uptrennd dying. We hoped it wouldn't - but were so thankful that we had encouraged people to trickle towards Hive. Uptrennd did die. Our project still continued, with even more determination.

  • Returning to Hive. When I say that Hive was like that old friend that never left? It's an understatement. I couldn't appreciate all that Hive was at the time of Justin Sun/Ned. Not only that, but so many things improved and strengthened in the year I was gone. (I never really left - I lurked hehehe, but I had committed to help a community, so my heart was truly there.) But coming back here? Was better than coming home. It was like coming home to see everyone thriving, growing, expanding, and was exactly the place where we needed to be. Foreshadowing: Sometimes you need a kick out of your comfort zone to push you to new heights.

And now...

Have you ever had the opportunity to REALLY change a life?

This #sublimesunday will begin this week-long post journey to the present. I don't mind if you can't commit to follow along. hehehe truly, I don't. This story is for those who were involved, and maybe for those who are intrigued to know more. Who knows? Maybe you'll become a part of it - or maybe you'll just be inspired to do.

Do what? -Yes. 😊

(p.s. you will see the numbers #22222 appear over and over on these posts. If you've watched my videos - you see how it's all related. Don't mind those numbers for now. hahaha Just focus on the journey)

Have you ever had so much to tell,

that you didn't know where to begin?

Believe me, there are plenty who will not want to invest the time to understand this project - and that's fine. We have decided to focus our attention on every #dreemer who lives life expecting MORE. We have grand plans - and these plans are seemingly impossible with obstacles that are seemingly insurmountable!

But we kinda like being the underdogs.

Being the underdog comes with a bright red bullseye at times. I'm learning that I like my focus to be on the positive, and I need to keep my eyes focused on what truly matters. Please don't be offended if I ignore negative comments. I'm choosing to spend time building the drEEM.

I hope that most of my life could be categorized as : Creating lifetime, genuine connections inspired by fun-filled, Christ-like generosity.

My social platform life has hopefully been a continuation of this life-theme.

Last year when COVID hit, I created a 6-week secret project called EyeOnSparrow. Our U.S. government provided many of its citizens with a stimulus due to COVID's restrictions on our ability to work. We received the typical amount, and I asked my husband if we could donate a portion of it to people on Uptrennd who were from countries that were in dire need. He has the same heart for generosity so - of course, he was excited.

image.png

I didn't know. I just know that there were many countries around the world who did not have such a stimulus package, and many of the family I had grown to love on Uptrennd were in need. I didn't have enough money to help everyone, so I created a secret project to bless the ones who took the time to read and apply. I trusted that God would bring the right people.

I won't tell you all the details because this post would be even longer, but trust me! It was amazing. Another person heard about what I was doing, and asked if they could donate too. Another person heard, and they donated also. By the end - I believe we had given out $300 to those in need. It was a beautiful example about what happens when people unite, people care, people love, and people give.

Nearing the end of it, I felt God tugging at my heart. I felt like there was more I was supposed to do - but I didn't know what. I just knew that I was willing. So I began to pray that God would lead me to the right person to help.

Before the week was over, and right before EyeOnSparrow ended,

I read a post that shot straight into my heart.

It was a young man, talking about the call for people in his region to rise up and care for the growing number of children in need. I couldn't stop thinking of his post. I heard his anguish and it sang to my heart, because I also have a powerful passion for equipping children with the loving care they need to thrive in life.

image.png

I didn't tell him anything about who I was, or what I had done on the platform. I simply sought out to find out more about him. By the end of the conversation, I told him that I thought God was laying something on my heart - and I asked him to pray over direction for the next week.

He could have thought I was a lunatic! But, I believe that he also felt something strong from the Lord. It was amazing. The next week we came back together and started the initial process of igniting his drEEm.

This post probably took 8 minutes to read. LOL So I'll stop for now, and anyone who would like to continue, is invited to come back and follow along. Love you all. ❤️

The EyeOnTheSparrow, when did that happen? I have known you to be very generous, so this isn't coming as surprise. For a true, believing that everything is possible is the first step to success. What God cannot do does not exist.

A lot of countries really did not cater for any palliative measure to assist their citizens during the lockdown, it was such a trying time. For some of us, the token we were able to make from uptrennd made it possible for us to stay alive, and we are grateful only that the platform died when the hopes of all users was high, expecting a miracle, an announcement, that turned out to be the last straw that broke the camel's back.

Now, the drEEm philosophy with the #22222 with our humanitarian Captain is sure going to be a win-win thing.

Looking forward to more update to how the **EyeOnTheSparrow project went.

hmmm this happened I think in the midst of the beginning of COVID when Americans got their first stimulus check. It happened over 6 weeks. hehehe

There was one Trenndian who won the award hmmmm 4 times out of the 6??? hehehe

I started calling him "Sparrow" then :) He is still in my DM regularly - but not on Hive. He has been busy with his life offline for some time now. But we still stay in touch! hehehe

and yes - I remember that Uptrennd really did help put the food on the table in so many households with 1up!!! So - even though its gone now - it served a very important purpose then!!! And I was so grateful for it!

EyeOnSparrow ended with great success - but it was what came OUT of that.... that will be the focus of the posts following :)

Can't wait to see you back for more hehehee

#igniteyourdreem.
For those that are unaware, they can type that same hashtag on Twitter. I'm sure that the person will be thrilled with the level of hard-work we attached.

Fabulous... I've heard this story in a very brief way. Let's say, 99.9% of the story 😂, but this post is giving me the 101% background information about it. The best part is that l can literally see myself in some chapters of this post. We are growing and we are igniting Dreems.

He could have thought I was a lunatic!

Hahah... I'm sure that many people will think the same whenever they look into the brain of our original Dreemer.

Ohh, it's not just about the imagination or brainwork. That's laudable, no doubt! But anyone that doesn't want to paint mental pictures already have something to work with. By 26th of this month, we will show them the Dreem.

Hahah... Is there a second part of to this? Yeah yeah... Kene is waiting.

Hahah... I'm sure that many people will think the same whenever they look into the brain of our original Dreemer.

hahahahahahahahaha they might be right!!!!!!!!

there is a song by Billy Joel that says...

"You may be right. I may be crazy. But I just might be the lunatic you're looking for."

hahahahahahahahaha! Now I want to listen to this song LOLOLOL

more parts are coming - and a bit of sadness I heard from yesterday - but then.... hope. I believe in hope :)

sometimes.... we get kicked - to wake us up to what's coming. Hope never disappoints.

I was caught up in a deep nostalgia while reading through. I remember Eyeonsparrow project cleary, and was also a beneficiary of it.
You've really been committed toward helping others, ma. And that's a lifestyle I'm trying to emulate. May God continue to bless you

Whenever I look back at the journey, I believe that allowing God to lead us and following the lead brings so much happiness not just to our life to everyone around us because when they see the light and how it has made our path shine clearly, they won't hesitate to join you.

It is very funny seeing a future dreem happening in the present, it shows the involvement of Almighty God. It shows you are working by Gods plan for your life, he has a purpose for everyone which includes extending love.
