logos are important in every brand. It can come in different shapes and sizes but we must be wise to adhere to some acceptable dimensions. It can be in landscape or portrait but the best is landscape. We may have so many choice but also remember your customers. A lanscape logos is preferably and easy to read from left to right don't change the basic rules.

Next is about font. We have many font family, you should keep your logo legible and simple. Don't try to use too much fancy fonts, the fonts will determine how serious your brand is and also will tell more about your product. Use a font size that will be very clear to all at some distance.

Base on choice you can choose to use only symbol to represent your logo. You can also add a name to it. For example apple uses only symbol "apple". Seeing that symbol at any product automatically tells you that it is an apple product. My advice is if you are using only symbol as your dominant logo type please add your brand name maybe with small font size.

Finally you can take a walk to shoprite or any other business area and take a look at so many other products and have an idea on how to do it more perfectly and better.
