"Document 13" A Dystopian Tale: Part 40
Welcome to Part 40 of "Document 13", a dystopian graphic novel I'm creating with my daughter. This week: "Change of Mission."
After almost two months, I'm back! This is a short chapter, but I promise next week will be more exciting! I guess creativity can come and go in waves. Hopefully I'm back on an upswing and can keep going for a long time. Even though I didn't write for two months, tons of ideas have bounced around in my head.

The year is 2074, the world has been plunged into darkness. One girl, Sarah Doe, will learn the secrets of the dark forces that run the ruined world. With the help of a few friends, her family, and her own powers she will fight to return the world to an order not known since well before her birth. Will she succeed? Read to find out!

Scene: Interior of Schaub’s office. Carl is sitting across the desk from Schaub. They are both staring at paperwork on the desk.
Sch: We have new orders, since the research obviously worked. We are to get Bureau back up here to run the program.
Carl: But you saw his orphans, there is no way he is going to let us take him alive. You told him the program is dead.
Sch: We will have to use other means. Perhaps we can utilize the Headmistress. With him out of the way, she can have the orphans and the city all for herself.
Carl: The Ministers won’t like that idea. Our goal is to eradicate opposition, not enable it.
Sch: Ah Carl, always so short-sighted. Once we have our own immortal army it won’t be hard to outnumber her and her cronies, seven orphan girls can’t save her.
Carl: What’s our plan then?
They get to work discussing the mission.
