Splinterlands Diary 24.10.22 - Archmage Arius vs Conqueror Jacek

Hello friends, I keep trying different combos with the new cards from Riftwatchers, and last night I had a wonderful fight against one of the most powerful (and incredibly expensive) summoners in the game, Archmage Arius.

So, I played as a Fire elemental and staked on a high-speed attack, choosing the following lineup:

• Conqueror Jacek, to increase the speed of my cards and randomly attack with archers and mages;
• Living Lava with Shield in the first position;
• then the speedy Fineas Rage with the ability to attack from the second position;
• the powerful Tinderlock archer in the third position, to keep my defenses up if my first two cards go out of play quickly :(
• slow but very destructive mage Caladuum;
• Sand Worm to attack the enemy's rear (accelerated by the summoner he's pretty damn good!!!);
• Completing the combo is Countess Sinash, an archer for attacking the enemy's weak cards.

My opponent chose an equally impressive combo of strong Gold cards, and I was initially intimidated by the combination of Gold Dragon and Lighting Dragon, whose attacks were augmented by his summoner, but thanks to the explosion rule and "random" target selection in the second round, after losing the first two cards, my mage and archers began to win handily.

I was very happy with this victory, and I think my opponent was very disappointed by the loss of his Golden deck :)
