Changing the World - People Love

avatar

I meditate, clearing my mind of any deep lingering thoughts that lay buried inside. I am always thinking, some may even say a little too much. When I look around me, in this world, my Mother Earth, the scale of problems seems grander every day. I look for some small act of kindness, some goodness… to confirm my beliefs. Because of its size, the remedy will have to be grander, but I need that confirmation of the good and the beauty that is as gentle as a rose petal — as slight as my eyes, as forgiving as a whisper, as kindhearted as the hands of my love.

I have to wonder, is this too much to ask?

Kentucky Waterfall.JPG

The simplicity of it all, a random act of kindness, usually unplanned and has no motive for doing it. I feel like it is possible to bring this world together with a joining of our hearts. ❤️ You have to ask yourself, who wouldn't want this? Man was given to be a ruler, but sad to say, somewhere along the line, man has become a destroyer. I have great faith that we can restore that which we have taken apart. Such a large undertaking, but, I would like to think that if we have so many like minds that get together on this, don't you think we can accomplish the task?

I consider myself fortunate to be in the crosshairs of many heartwarming deeds. Niceties, if you will. I remember wanting to thank the person, but my bearer of a "Random Act of Kindness" was nowhere to be found, long before I found out that my debt had been paid. I owed nothing. Anonymous, but hard to forget, especially the first time it happens.. How many other people commit this generous act? Have you ever recieve a random act, out of the blue, for no reason other than being you?

Out of a cloud of obscurity did you come
Leaving your token of love to be claimed
Revealing exposed to me as I watch
Stealing my perception, of Random Acts
Kindness in action

Understanding the very act of this gift
Being mindful of others, and acting on it
Shrouded this morning in a blanket of warmth
Changing the world, one act at a time
Love in action

Writing this post doesn't solve the problems of the world, but, for a few glorious moments, while I was writing it, it allowed me the luxury of believing that people, the world over, are capable of loving one another - people love.

Always and #alwaysaflower, for me, for you. There must be a flower to color my world. And just like that, this post is over. Come back tomorrow and we will do it again. All photos and words are my own unless otherwise noted.

Scientific evidence shows us the positive effects of doing kind acts for others as well as receiving or even witnessing kindness. Even the smallest act of kindness can change a life. Random Acts of Kindness

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

I just want to end this post tonight by sending out my thoughts and prayers to those families in Uvalde, Texas. Today as the elementary school was in session, a gunman went in, shot and killed 18 children and 3 teachers. It is literally horrifying to know that another human being could do that. God Bless this little town and the people in it as they navigate this tragic event. I am so very, very sad tonight.

i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty

both need water.

i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"

Writing this post doesn't solve the problems of the world

But it can change the world for many people, who listen to your words. I also believe that if humanity would work together, then we could change the world together. It is indeed true that humanity brought many bad things on itself by turning from a ruler into a destroyer. Humanity is destroying the planet. But it is not too late to change. We can still restore this.

Love is the answer. Thank you for making our day better with your kind words.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

How hard is it for the world to press together on this? It doesn't even cost a thing. I would say the majority of people are repelled by the world today. One step at a time in the right direction could turn things around.

Today, a simple random act. Just because. We can do this.

Have a nice day too! Hello! Hello! From Washington, DC!

So nice to have encountered surprising act of kindness. I wish these acts would occur more often to deserving people. Yup! I was lucky this year! I was gifted with a new bicycle fit for traveling long distances. Quite expensive as it’s a German design with sturdy structures. It was a present for saving a lady’s life. She got a Pfizer jab and got bad repercussions in her hearing and brain. Two famous doctors wanted to operate on her brain. I persuaded her to see my friendly doctor, with degree in medical profession and well known homeopathic practitioner. Her hearing came back and her mind became much clearer. The poison had gone across the blood brain barrier, which could lead to mental problems in a year. Luckily, she felt much better and could live a normal lifestyle as before. I got her to take all supplements for detoxing the spike proteins and graphene oxide when she told me she had the jab.

Many years ago, an old friend gifted me a sum of money for planting fruit trees in my garden! All these trees remind me of her kindness every year. She knew I was running out of cash as I just bought a piece of land. I continue to count my blessings!

Congratulations! You are the recipient of a very special gift. The gift of love. I am so happy you were gifted these things, they are well deserved and you use them wisely and for the better good.

The fruit trees are a gift that keeps on giving. ❤️

Just like you.

Thanks so much for your kindness. I guess my guardian angels have been looking after me. So, I have to remind myself to behave! 🙀😂

Your words are as beautiful as your images and, yes, random acts of kindness can bring about great change, and tend always to repay the giver in ways they didn't expect.

Isn't that the truth? I have to agree with you, it gives back and back, usually in multiples. There are never any expectations, but there are always rippling effects.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your word.

This is a good reminder to do a random act of kindness every now and again. I haven't done one in a long while as far as I can remember. I think it's time.

It is one of those things that I fall down on when life gets busy, but, I have to say that I get so much joy out of it when I do it. We live in such a complicated world that is all about multitasking, fitting everything in, and being everywhere, I have to wonder why we don't have more burnout.

There I go, rambling to myself.

Yes. Get on it! :)

There are still good people out there Denise… that practice also the random act of kindness. Just like that… sending some love out to whoever is in need. It is what makes us us… we need more love and kindness. Special people that do understand.
And if we all just think for a moment not about ourselves… but about others… we can change it all.
Just with love 🥰 and kindness.

Unbelievable what happened… why? Was that needed… taking the lives of so many… it saddens my heart.

Have a truly wonderful day @dswigle despite of all the sad news around us.

I agree @littlebee4! There are many good people out there and random acts of kindness are nothing new. Even I, who love them get caught up in my own life that I don't tune in at times.

We could change it all, but it is not as easy as wanting it. I know many love the thoughts of it, as long as they don't have to do anything.

It truly is sad to hear, as the entire story unfolds. The guy was 18 years old and from the town. I lived in San Antonio before here and my kids played their school in sporting events. I am so very sad.

Make your day one that is steeped in peaceful thoughts.

I understand Denise. Life is so fast sometimes and so much happens that you can get caught up.
But as long as you think positive and send out good vibrations. Things do and can change. Even if it is just a thought or just a tiny little gesture… I believe in that.

So many would like to change things… but it isn’t easy like you said. But still enough do 🥰

That’s sad especially if it was that close to you… so sorry to hear, sending a bigggg hugggg to you.

I did @dswigle peaceful, happy and loving thought in my mind all day… sending some over to you.
Take care 🤗😊🤗😊

There is a lot of doom and gloom in the world right now, and it's easy to get lost in it and bogged down by it. Ultimately, however, I think kindness will win the day. We'll get back around to it. It'll be a bumpy ride with some casualties, but we'll get there.

Ultimately, however, I think kindness will win the day.

I think you are right, that is what I believe too. The doom and gloom keep popping up around us and I have to wonder how one can live with such a dark heart. I am already seatbelted in, waiting for the ride.

Woo-hoo!

writing a post doesn't make my garden flower either ;) but i get it that it's a lot easier to spread kindness by writing a nice message although the press gets more paid by reporting disasters , doesn't sound right but it seems to be the way of the world these days .

What you are saying is absolutely true. Sensationalism and outright horrific news seem to garner more attention than something nice ever will. It is like watching an accident. You know you shouldn't, but, you just cannot help yourself.

I think we will find a way, even if it is not the kind that I love, as long as there is happiness that goes with it. It's a must-do.

Hi, Mick!

We had a case a while ago where some of our family donated anonymously to a friend whose family had a fire and lost pretty much everything. It was hard not to laugh every time the friend would talk about this amazing person that donated to them. To this day she she still doesn't know. Unless she reads this I guess, but the chances of that are pretty slim.

Exactly my point! Doesn't that act make you feel good all over? Especially knowing that she received it and was a gracious reciever? It is hard to not want to keep giving when you experience that.

I could tell you were a giver. You give off all sorts of vibes to that effect. Thanks for being such a generous giver, not in the amount, but for spreading your kindness around.

Thanks for stopping by!

My heart is bleeding since last night, lovely @dswigle .
The 18 year boy who did the shooting is obviously taken over by evil and not in his right mind.
I wondered how God can allow such tragedy...
I once talked to my spiritual director about the abuses committed against innocent children.
How they must have called to their mothers in their fear, or God even.
Will it ever end...

Uvalde was close enough to San Antonio (where I lived previously to here) for my kids to play sports with their schools. It is a small town due West on I-10W with less than 20,000 people in it. I just looked up the population and it is more like 15,000.

A small town where many knew each other. People grew up there and lived there for their entire lives. That boy could not have been in his right mind, nobody that was could do that, taking the lives of the innocents?

I also wonder how God can allow such tragedy. Why? Of what purpose to ruin the lives of entire families? I don't understand. I never will. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families that this tragedy touched and to the town as they navigate their lives going forward.

My thoughts and prayers to your heart. XO

Evil never rest.
It comes subtly, it comes loudly, it comes in many faces...
in drugs, in politicians, in the most ordinary people...
in the seemingly sane, in the insane...
in the rich, in the very poor, and in between.
Do you recognize it in the everyday?

It's true, I know it.
Merely a wolf in lamb's clothing.
You think you recognize it and sometimes you do.
Sometimes you don't until much later.
But, they always reveal themselves.

Do I recognize it the everyday?

Do I see it in our life now? I am not sure what you mean.

How true!
I do recognize it it people.
At times it makes me move away from the person.
And I wonder if they are aware of it!

I am not so sure I recognize it as much as a feeling of unease about a person. I have to go with my gut instinct on that one.

Thanks for the token!

I certainly have been the recipient of a random act of kindness and I like to do some random acts myself, hoping to leave a small trail of happiness as I go along. I'm selfish like that ya know, because it makes ME feel good to do it.

I think about life and the world as I'm sure most do and I realize that it is hard to love everyone and every thing, but if we would just be kind to everyone we come across anyway, what a wonder world it would be.

Exactly! I don't have to love everyone that crossed my path, but why would I not at least be kind? It costs nothing and you certainly won't get fined for it.

You were a recipient! I just remembered about those beautiful flowers! The trail of happiness goes on and on. Once started, it never seems to stop and it pulls in others along the way. Yeah, yeah. Totally selfish. :))

I hope you had a great day, I am guessing you took it off.

Enjoy the rest of your night!

Time is something everyone manages until they have endless time. Then nothing gets done because they always have time. Seems ridiculous, doesn't it?

My mom worked and she always scheduled her time around work and made it all happen. She didn't get a job until we all left home, we told her she was a late bloomer. She loved working because she never had to work.

Anyway, when she retired, she always ran out of time. :) I didn't understand it, but it was absolutely true.

Whatever I wanted too !

Wait! You do that now! LOL

I may do some of that now, but I don't get to do it when I want too.

I want to go to bed when I am sleepy and get up when my body tells me too.

I love getting up in the mornings and not being pushed to jump into the day, but working, most of the days I don't get that luxury. Whatever would happen, I would still like to try it.

Your words are always so inspiring. It breaks my heart to see and watch humanity destroying the earth/ nature and also humanity.
It' s just so simple for all of us to protect the earth and humanity by doing a simple act of kindness, yet most of us don't do it because we are all just so busy trying to make that $, no matter what the cost is.
So sad.

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the innocent children and teachers families. So heartbreaking.
