Merry Christmas to all! I wish you all well in this Season of Joy, allowing the love to consume you, wrapping you up in the feeling. It's all so wonderful, however, I still find myself longing for that casual comfort of family and even the extended family. My siblings and I are seperated by miles, States and immediate family needs. It is at this time of year that I reach out to all. I love Christmas, or perhaps the spirit of Christmas. When I get lucky, I will travel to see them, but the family is so big makes it hard for everyone to meet at one time. This year, some made the journey here, of which I am eternally grateful.
In the cover of darkness, Santa starts filling the stockings until nothing fits. I still love filling those stockings with fun little things. Nothing big or expensive, just little things that I know they will love. Then sometimes, I may find something special that they have been looking for. It happens. Silly things, fun things, everybody in my house spends some serious time going through the stockings.
Christmas is like a big magnifier, making everything larger than life, the good of it and the bad of it. I hope it is making everything better than they seem, feeling healthier, richer in living and life, more positive, more energetic, more in love with love. Accentuate the positive! I am counting my blessings.
Handcrafted tradition originally created as a symbol of light, pyramids are said to be the precursor to the modern Christmas tree. My Weihnachtspyramide.I have shown you it a dozen times this season. It is meaningful in that when I bought it, I was just starting out in life as an adult, in a place far from home, among people that didn't speak my tongue. I learned, gained knowledge, and never looked back. I love life and even all the lessons it has taught me. I always hope the lessons were not wasted on me.
Have you ever had an English Cracker? We always have had one and it is the first thing you touch in the morning. You pull at each end and it pops! Look inside! There is a crown to wear, it is your right today! There is a little prize, sometimes a bigger prize, it all depends where you purchase them. They are just fun and everyone wears the hats while unwrapping gifts, sometimes the whole day long. Yeah, we are weird like that.
I have been grateful that all my family members are safe and happy, working and going to school from home.I hope and pray for a safe 2022. I hope they have all the answers to Covid, although, for those of us that have been here a while, it isn't the first virus to travel across and it won't be the last, so I pray for everyone's safety every day.
Dinner is always such a wonderful event. Good food, nice wine, and great company. Come in, sit down and join the family. I raise my glass to all of you, hoping that you and your family are happy and healthy and able to share some moments together this Christmas. You know I love Christmas, I embrace it with all of my heart. It is special and honestly, I am good with that.
All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.
It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.
Merry Christmas to all! Remember that you make all the lives you have touched in the world. I dedicate this post to all of you. You bring joy to my soul and spread your love across the world. For this, I thank you. And just like that, these musings are done...and just so you know, although we are throwing glitter around the globe, I can guarantee you that there is still a little left for next year. …And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,

as for crackers, well I am crackers you know that, but yes crackers were always a key part of our christmas routine and I would wear the hat that came out of mine all day or till it feel apart which sometimes happenned

Merry Christmas Denise! I've been negligent keeping up, but I assure you it has been for the best of reasons! Keeping busy with the family. This year I am wishing everyone a better Christmas than what I have had, for if they've had a better one than me, it would have been a fantastic Christmas indeed.
Oh yes, yes indeed. Every year! We (I) wear the silly hat that comes with them, and we (I) laugh hysterically at the jokes within. I have enough leftover for New Years Eve, too!
We have always had them! Haha!! Me too!!!! We (I) love them, but , we all wear the hats and take ridiculous pictures of each other. No posting on social media allowed, otherwise the girls might not participate.

The didgiridoo (sp) was a far bigger hit than what I expected. He walks around the house playing it and speaks to me through it. It's cute and will continue to be so until it isn't. 😂
