It saddens me to watch as my summer faded into the fall, right before my very eyes. But, there is beauty in the demise of things, we just have to shift our focus to finding it.

Oh, summer! Wherefore art thou? I never even had time to say good-bye.

And when we find ourselves
In the place just right,
We will be in the valley
Of Love and Delight

Flowers in the attic, petals on the floor
Set aside today before the cold invades my room
Explore the splendor, preserve the joy

Although there is beauty in the demise of things, and I do find a certain amount of beauty in these pictures, I cannot help feeling a little bit of sadness, knowing that 78 degrees today is only going to plummet into the cold regions next week

And so, we know it is over.

Autumn is my favourite season. I like waking up with a chill, and love the smells of the outdoors this time of year, even when it's raining. And the colours! It's all just awesome.

I adore fall too and waking up to the chill. I feel best chilled a little. Weird, I know. The colors right now are blistering into oblivion, but, there are remnant pockets of color. The weird part? Even yesterday, it was still 78F and even the nights are not cool.

Next week, real fall is coming to visit!! Yay!

Just lovely Denise. Down south, we didn't have much of an autumn, no colorful foliage to speak of, it would be green, there would suddenly be cold and it was brown.
Wet, brown and cold.
I DID and still do love to have a fire, to back up to and warm my buns, have someone reach over and pull my pants leg from the front so that the hot cloth hit the backs of my legs (wot larks ha ha)
The smells of the house closed up, with the smoke from the fire, mama cooking for the family meal, everyone all warm and cozy, those are some delightful memories.
I still want my bedroom cold compared, so that I can snuggle up under my blankets, they jump out and hurry to get dressed and turn up the heat.

Oh, the memories, yes?

I need my bedroom cool too, I sleep so much better under my down comforter! Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. How can that be?

I think that lyric has a very good appeals for both emotion and nature best part is start with autumn and end with the spring, these weather and environment always make me happy.
