Tales of Bee-ing

Oh, who knew
That you would be
Everything I needed
Appearing in my life
Without invitation
Leaving your petals behind

Poetry. Musing. Words. Writing. I can pick up a pen and write, and until that point, there was no point, perhaps no meanting. Put it on paper or type it and it takes on a life of its own. I can speak to you and add tone to my words, coloring them bright and cheerful or calming. Color my world with your words, and write them across the page. Bold and beautiful.

purple clematis a.jpg

I said I'll love you 'til the end of time
Say you'll be mine, Say you'll be mine
Push those words back
To me, don't you see
How will I will know
Today and forever
That you are mine, you are mine
Say you'll be mine

bee in flowera.jpg

Like a Sailor in deep seas of thoughts, you bring much knowledge to the shores of my mind. How can I deny it? I have tried it and failed, so I bring it right back. It saddens me to watch as my summer will be fading into the fall, right before my very eyes. But, there is beauty in the demise of things, we just have to shift our focus to finding it.

It has been a day today. It had bright beginnings and then, the air conditioner died or perhaps is in a coma. The HVAC service person will be out on Monday, I slid it one day to save the double time they charge for the weekend. Monday, Monday, so good to me. In the meantime, it is in the 90s for the next few (still) 32-33C, Without further ado, I'll just bow out, this show is over! Come back tomorrow and we will do it again! Have a great night! ❤️

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

@dswigle,

Climbing out, from behind our wall of doom and gloom. Hate to hear about the AC going out. Hate to hear about anything going out really.

It's soooo many things; the hassle, the cost, the waiting. We are still in the middle of trying to repair our mobile home. Slow steps... because we are relying on family to help.

If it weren't for lack of ability, or know how. And then there's my MS. My better half, with her ever growing health issues... Gosh!! Sounds like I'm ranting! Haha!

Hey... I hope you can get that AC going soon. And at a price you can agree with. I'm still quite inactive, but I am trying to keep checking in. I'm sorry I've not been on my Curation Account. But I am still here... Still trying to spread that positive energy. Even when I am struggling to find it myself.

Let us know how you are doing, dear friend. Have some really cool replys...

Hi, Wes! @wesphilbin Thank you for checking in and for thinking of me. Honestly, you bring a smile to my face, feeding my sunshine as you are shoveling the poop from the yard.

I know it is hard to rely on people for things you could always do, family is wonderful and hard all at the same time. You don't ever want to complain, but, things do need to get done. I was hoping your better half was feeling a little bit better as well as you.

Never worry about the curation thing. I am happy to post here, it fits almost every post I write. :) I appreciate you taking the tie to sneak in and say hidey-ho! Of course, we miss your smiling face in discord. You know, one of the 150 that you are in. Whew! I sure cannot keep up with you!

Love to you and the family and thank you! Always good to see you, Just know we are thinking of you! Except for @wwwiebe. He is probably still dreaming of baseball. Kidding. Right?

Can you believe it? It has been 90 or above for weeks! So why not, right? Yeah, my brothers all love their dad jokes. too bad there are so many of them. I'm drowning in them. :)

Actually, I get a kick out of them. They are so corny, even I get them!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow. (what a cheapskate I am!) Even I have standards, although not usually. Today was 90, so I feel like tonight won't be too bad. Ha!

Not everyone can take meaning when they enjoy the beauty. Often it's just an ordinary vision, passing by, without ever giving any meaning.

Every time I see beauty, I learn to look for nature's message to us. Including what you present today, Mrs @dswigle.
I see you as a person who really enjoys life and everything around you.
Have a great weekend.

You have accessed me properly. :) I do enjoy life, even when it is not the perfect day, it is part of what makes up life.

I feel sad for anyone who doesn't know how to let the simple things be a source of joy.

There are similar temperatures nowadays in my country (in Hungary) too. Currently we are in the morning, and according to the weather forecast, the temperature will be 31 °C today.

The days are visibly shorter than a few weeks ago, so we see the slow transition from the summer to autumn/fall.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Yes, the transition is slow, but it is a fun journey. Shorter days, longer nights, and a little cooler, although I am hesitant to use that word. It is not cooler, but, not as hot.

We do have similar conditions, although your winter is a lot colder than ours. We haven't seen snow in two years.

Maybe this year will be the charm.

For some reason that even I may not know or understand, I don't like poems. I wonder if there's anything I can do to enjoy them cause I know how educative they are.

Around here at this time of year, a dead AC is not good. It's going to get down to 32C (88F) before the sun comes up. Barely. Everybody in this part of the world is waiting for the summer heat to break. The monsoon season has been very active so humidity is up, too.

But soon it will be fall and gardens will start. It will be interesting to see how much lettuce is planted commercially this year. New water restrictions start Jan 1 and will have an impact on the winter production...

I think I'm going to try a Hatch Chili to go with my tomato and green pepper in my teeny garden this fall. We'll see how that works.

Ohhhh! Hatch Chili! Now we are talking! The first time I ever put that chili in my mouth was at the Hatch Chili Festival, in Hatch New Mexico! I lived in Alamagordo, New Mexico and we were looking for some Labor Day fun! Is the festival this weekend or next and do they still have it? Those long strings of dried chilis that you see roadside were one of my favorite gifts to pick up for family and friends!

Yes! Party is at Tom's house!

Oh, I would say I forget how hot it is there, but Yuma is exactly as you say. Hotter at night than most people high for the day. I'm ashamed to say that I thought the Phoenix area was gross in the summer, still hot and sweaty at night, and no comparison to you! Do you know we bought a summer house on the Canadian border because of living in New Mexico, Texas, and then Arizona?

Oh, lettuce will be way high in price this winter for sure. Those new water restrictions are just in time. The A/C man will be here tomorrow. I am only 93 today and for the rest of the week. It has been a pretty warm summer, but, it does cool down a bit at night, so not too bad.

Thanks for stopping by, Tom! @bigtom13

The festival is next weekend. It's such a good place to eat.

It is gross here. You have to plan and execute a hydration strategy to do anything. If you don't you are in serious trouble.

My friend Erv was here for a bit this morning-he'd been out looking at the Elephant Trees. He'd "walked out too far" and struggled to get back to his pickup. Didn't stop him from taking Sam to spend a week with his cat sister.

ERV!!! I remember talking about Erv! That is so cool you share Sam with him (or Vice Versa, wasn't it?) I hope Sam has a great time. The elephant trees... I almost forgot about them as I only ever saw them out there, but haven't they become a more rare sight, especially with the drought out there? I cannot believe the drought AND the wildfires... Even the saguaros were less and less when I passed through there a few years back. Sad, isn't it?

It was a good place to eat and New Mexico in general. Like I said, I am ashamed that I didn't embrace it the minute I stepped inside that zip code. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

It is truly a magical environment.

Brilliant yellows and oranges..... deep luscious purple.....

When I read "say you'll be mine, say you'll be mine" for some reason Mr Roger's Won't You Be My Neighbor melody played through my head "won't you be, won't you be, please won't you be my neighbor?" ..... it tune kind of fits.... or maybe that is just in my head. No accounting for what goes on in there sometimes. ha

No A/C ???? horrors ! I think I'd be paying double time.... or maybe I'd just go stay with Mom till it was done. LOL... .ugh

Say that again! :) Not enough syllables, but, it really could work. I have the same problem with my head. It sings its own songs and even enjoys them a bit.

No A/C for real. You said you are having some cooler weather. Push some of that up here. The low has been 9oF for what seems like weeks, and this week will get just a few degrees higher. I was going to go to the Shore House, but, the HVAC service should be here Monday, so I would rather just tough it out. That is true! Your mom is close enough and that is a great save for you!

Today is already 90...

Le sigh.

Have yourself a Super Sunday!

It isn't enough color here anymore. I think it got to 85, so a little better than 90, but not much better.

Yeah,,,, the whole song wasn't in my head, but the little chorus part..... of course we all know there is no accounting for what pops in my head... nope... no accounting.

Oh no, that is very unpleasant to have to experience Denis, I hope that Monday will get it all sorted. The changing of the seasons is always one of happiness and saddness as we know we're progressing to the next phase but leaving summer is sometimes hard as there is so much life to it.

Have a better Monday, I love your poetry.

Summer fun is definitely sad to leave behind. We still have plenty of nice weather before Autumn sets in. There is always beauty in the demise of things and that is a saving grace.

Something tells me this winter will be early and cold. Yikes.

It has not been too bad, even though it has mostly been 32-33C here. The nights are a little cooler, so I cannot complain too much.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your words! Have a wonderful week ahead!

Enjoy the nice weather while it's transitioning, it's a beautiful time of year even with the high temperatures, I think you'll miss them when the cold sets in.

It's been all kinds of weather here lately, felt like it was going to rain today but it didn't happen, so maybe it will build up overnight and hit tomorrow. I don't mind the rain but I don't like it when it rains for days on end. I suppose if I had to speak to someone that lived in a desert, they'd probably think I'm crazy, so I feel like I'm acting spoilt when I complain about the weather 🤣

Have a nice week too Denise, I think this one is going to be good.

I lived in the desert of Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas (although not in the middle of the desert, the weather is desert-like. Summer was their winter, nobody liked going out in it. After the summer was monsoon season, so trust me, they pity you. Monsoon season out there is flash flood time. The dry earth cannot take all that water!

We start getting cooler the day before Halloween, the end of October. We don't even get snow most winters. It is the best of both worlds. :) I have no reason to complain, so if I do, remind me how good I have it.

Ditto!! Have a nice week ahead!

Hi Denise

Thank you so much for that very generous RAK, I just saw it now 😘 That is a lovely cup of coffee for me for sure!

I see what you mean, I didn't even think of monsoon season. Gosh cannot think of a scarier prospect that typhoons and flash floods, so I agree with you, we both have it good and should count our blessings! I am quite looking forward to September although I can't believe that August is already practically gone. We are going to look up and it'll be festive season again. Time seems to be speeding up or maybe I'm slowing down lol.

When it gets to be September, I start planning Christmas (in the back of my head) The season of Joy is my favorite and I am so looking forward to it. I have already begun planning gifts that need staging and putting pictures together for my brothers' and sisters' books I am making. Family albums through the years. I have been working on them most of the year.

Did I tell you I love Christmas?

Time does fly by. We will agree on that sentiment. We will NOT be slowing down yet. Too young yet! Give it a few decades, yes? :)

Enjoy the coffee! I adore that you are a joyful receiver. ❤️

Well the start of your poem reminded me of those classic words written by The Possum many years ago.
He said, "I'll love you till I die"
She told him, "You'll forget in time"
As the years went slowly by
She still preyed upon his mind.

Yikes! Yes, well, to be honest, your world has an air conditioner that works. Trade ya! You don't use yours anyway.

I have an appointment, let's see how magic it can be.

He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today

It ended. We all knew. LOL

In Bucharest, it is even hotter, 37 degrees Celsius. Oh, what a summer we've had! At least in autumn, I hope it will be... autumn!
The unfriendly air conditioner, could have held out a little longer, but I know, it always happens that way.

I always marvel at your photos, really wonderful.

Is Caturday still in your custody? Are you the author?

Wishing you a good week, @dswigle, cooler and with the resolution of the issues that bother you!

That is almost 99F here! We had that earlier in the month, but, have settled down to a nice 33C :) Talk about ungrateful, yes? The air conditioner had so little time to run, soon it will be just a dream away.

My photos? It was late, I was tired and there are so few. But, thank you! I will take it!

Caturday never was in my custody. People kept tagging me with it, wanting e to pick it up. Somebody grabbed it, but, it was actually fine on its own. One of the reasons I didn't take it as it has never been anybody's... it has just been.

I wish you a good week ahead. I hope your weather gets cooler, it must be terrible to walk in that heat! Take good care of yourself!
