Touching. Every time I see you.

Scenic overlook VA.jpg

Too many trees you say? I daresay never, there is a certain closeness with the recognizability based on our long association. Tell me it's true, you feel it too?

Touching. Every time I see you, I do it.
I love to run my hands up, then down, and feel how it feels.
Taking my hands, moving along with the texture of the bark.
There are so many ways.
To describe how it feels.
Rough, scaly, and beautiful, to only name a few.

IMG_1667a.JPG

My tree of life and I ask you, why not? Countless trees adorn my path, giving me the view every single day. I pick favorites, just like a good book. Someday, I may move on and find different favorites or mix it up a bit or change my walk. Although, the very nature of being familiar, there is something to be said for it. I touch it knowingly, the feel of it memorized. All these things, I would have to learn again should I change to different trees. Do you have a favorite tree or do love them all the same? Tell me true. Tell me, tell me, tell me do.

Tree of life a.png

Let me grow in the vision of love and delight.
Here as I sit upon the trail of life, ambling along.
For the sake of none.
Go ahead.
Hug me.
You know you want to.

Open my door to the world and what do I see? A new beginning to my day, filled with different possibilities. Greeting the day with clouds in the sky, not one but two red, red trees. In the principles found in Feng Shul, a red door is considered good luck and good fortune. Who knew the color of my door had meaning! What color is your front door? Mine is black!

I frequently stalk the trees, the thing that brings life to a photo, leaving an artistic taste in my mouth. A huge fan of Mother Natures' trees peeking out, framing her landscape, giving it a more interesting place to inhabit.

27968_Arlington National Cemetery.jpg

Arlington National Cemetery is a stunning sight, the trees hemming in the beauty. The day is filled with sunshine, filtered by the branches, making a beautiful display. I never want to waste a moment of the season, so short and sweet it is. I inhale it in one smell, the near ripeness of the landscape just beginning to realize that the season is no longer in its heyday, but, longing to pass the torch to the next.

Today is #TreeTuesday initiated by @Old-Guy-Photos. Let's see some of those amazing tree posts! Let me know and I'll visit yours too!

Flowers, always. There is #alwaysaflower to color my world.

mums 3.jpg

My thoughts, words and a few trees with a scattering of flowers. And just like that, these words are done. I want to thank you for visiting my post and walking through it with me.

IMG_1656.JPG

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

You are very ripe to be at one with nature, Mrs @dswigle. A person's maturity is due to their learning from life experiences.

Experience is the best teacher, and nature is the teacher itself. Anyone can always learn from nature by feeling its natural touch.
Touch is a learning medium. You have learned from a touch of nature. Not by the touch of your hand, not by your skin, not by your eyes, or by your ears. Nature has touched you in your heart.

What you have learned, then you teach it back to all of us here. I am one of the lucky ones to have found you here.
Have a nice Tuesday.

Mother Nature is one of the best teachers. Truth! Being touched in the heart is much more effective.

I am glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you for your words. I hope you have a great day!

You have a wonderful life path among the trees. I also love pine trees. But around me they look different.

These are on the beach and are much different than the ones by my house, maybe even similar to yours. :)

Thank you for the words. Happy #TreeTuesday!

I felt your love and utmost sincerity for the trees. The poems are absolutely beautiful. It was peaceful, imaginative, and soothing to read. I thought the second photo was a painting at first glance. But when I looked at it closely, it was just edited or something. Such a relaxing blog!

Aren't the textures great? I love them also! I love caressing the bark. :) Older trees usually have so much character, don't they?

The pictures I take are too many. Always, but who can help it? There are so many different ways to see the tree. Thank you for stopping by and always for your wonderful words.

Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Yes, especially the textures of trees… I feel /caress them too. It is wonderful to connect with them 🌳🌳🌳 not the palm trees or the spiked ones… but all the other trees. 🥰

I so understand, I do the same. Hehehe 🤭

Beautiful shots! The first ones remind me of Brockway Mountain up in Copper Harbor. Pretty soon the leaves are going to be falling off most the trees here. Hopefully we get some good color and it isn't just a rainy mess this year.

How cool! This was actually along the Appalachian Trail in Virginia. I remember that last year was somewhat of a disappointment as the leaves had some color but, before it could be amazing, a lot of them turn brown and fell off. There was a show, but, very subdued compared to years gone by.

I also hope for a more dramatic color show this year. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great week.

Oh those sunflowers! A favourite tree? Hmmmm....I wonder what most would say. I have many I love. But my favourite is one that is filled with bird life and under which animals can take shelter and children can tumble through their delightful childhood.

Sunflowers! Such a happy little flower! I love trees, I really do. I am guessing most people will guess what would be a native tree for them, the familiar.

What a great answer, Tracey... of course you would! ❤️ I call them, the trees of life.

Thanks always for unleashing your love for life on my post. I love it!

Merging into nature is the ultimate isn't it Denise (@dswigle), I love and I must admit there are time I walk along a great rate of knots enjoying the exercise etc. But, there are other times I want to touch, smell, hug and just look at trees. So thank you for the reminding that touching trees is one of those energy producing relationships that we can only benefit from.
Lots of love
❤️

Trees are our relatives
We live next to them
We desperately need what they give us
Hey, trees, you give me oxygen so I live
But we kill you
You are our friend but we cannot be your friend
We are your enemies, yet you love us
If the tree lives, we live
Do we understand this?

I have a few trees I like to shoot. I need to hike over, but have not had a chance yet. Best tree shooting season is fast approaching!
Btw my door is black as well 🙂
