Trees and me, all on a Tuesday

Evergreens remain forever green. You have to love a tree that hangs onto its foliage year in and year out, never striping down just because its season is done. It stays fully dressed, the new green pushing the old one out, never missing a beat. Enduring beauty, timeless and seemingly never ending.

The scent is aromatic, cedar tends to linger, and honestly, it smells delicious! Admire the beauty of our world, the uniqueness of nature, and the sacred scents of the earth. Oh, how I love thee! It is with such pleasure that I put some trees in my post and join #TreeTuesday with @old-guy-photos. Show me your trees!

Have you hugged a tree today? I have to admit I did. I am a tree hugger from way back. All of my children have inherited the environmentalist gene, much to my delight. Immerse yourself in a forest and you can feel the stress leaving your body, making me realize that you can make things right with a little help from Mother Nature.

Look to the sky! It has been the best kind of perfect day, It was such a beautiful morning, gentle light streaming in through the window, leading me into the open arms of another day. Oh, the temptation, leading me astray. There is life to be lived. Today.

How can I refute it? Their scent is so evocative, overwhelming at times... it is like a suggestive phone call from nature itself. And just like that, its beauty is gone.

Flowers, always. There is #alwaysaflower to color my world.

Reflection of my thoughts, and other mindless ruminations. And just like that, these words are done. I want to thank you for visiting my post and walking through the musings of my mind. Some days, I just have to let them go, giving them freedom, spread across the pages, to say what they say and do what they wish. No judgment.

Shadow of me and two of the trees. How can you not love a tree shadow?

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

Trees

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Joyce Kilmer

yes "never ending"
most of the plants here at my side are evergreen. sometimes I get tired of the nonstop green around me. I love to see their ends in autumn and the starts again in spring :-)

I do love autumn and the trees in their altered state. There is something about the bare bones of a tree, standing tall. I love everything about the four seasons! In winter, except for the evergreens, everything settles down for the long winter nap.

Then, it is spring, and the earth slowly wakes up again... I think it is my favorite season, however, each one has something amazing about it.

Goodnight from here, Victor. 💙

Two? That hardly seems fair. Hot and hotter? Kidding, however, it is pretty brutal some days.

A good day to you! I am off - Goodnight!

it is like a suggestive phone call from nature itself.

I agree to this statement. Sometimes, our eyes may miss some attraction s of the nature but when the scents touch our nostril, the nature does its magic and let us feel its presence

Heyyyyy.... the picture of the flower. The pollens are in the petals. 😀😍. It is looking like gold is kept in a white bowl.

It is, isn't it? The petals are so deep, that they fall into the bowl! They eventually dry up and blow away. :)

Mother Nature sure does know how to get out attention! Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words.

Good morning to you!

Evergreen nature and beautiful cloudy sky both are my favorite. I think you have spent some beautiful moment. Have a good day!

You like the cloudy skies? They are pretty, you are right, however, I am leaning more towards the sun. :)

Thank you for stopping by, have a nice day!

I love randomly seeing trees or spending time around them, they remind me to stay presented and grounded; their unwavering presence speak of a life that was, is and yet to come; I love them and I loved reading this lovely post. Hopefully, I see a tree that calls me to hug it soon. ❣️

That would be delightful! You can never tell when they will call out to you - until they do. :)

I am so glad that you are an environmentalist and that your children inherited it as well. Gosh! That's super cool! I am sure that your family is blessed with good hearts and kindness.

I think that is the only way to be if we want Mother Earth to be around much longer.

The leaves in that first picture remind me of these shrubs we used to have in front of our house when I was a kid. They were so annoying when your ball would get lost in there. It was almost impossible to dig it out!

They are cedar trees and I know exactly what you mean. They are prickly little things, especially when they are still young. :)

Aren't we all? :)

They aren't as bad when they grow up, but, of course, I haven't had anything lost in them and if I did, I would probably send a kid in. :)

Yeah, it's odd, ours were more like low bushes, they were short and flat. A place I used to rent had a cedar tree like this next to the front door. Cool stuff!

Cedar can be low to the ground (as in groundcover) So it could be a cedar!

Love those shots and the reflection of your thoughts...let's enjoy the green-colored leaves of the trees before the transition to Autumn happens 😊

I love the tree.
With its many grooves,... so deep...
They are like wounds that never healed.

Shadows that stretch you out! hehehe!

Enjoy the day, lovely @dswigle !
I'll get to my blog somehow...

Evergreens are very efficient in my book. They provide a good value as they do your landscaping a plus by staying true in winter. Cant be beat!

I'm an environmentalist myself, if taking pictures and stopping to admire qualifies as being one. The sky is one of the most fascinating sights for me to capture. It's different every time I look up and then sometimes it's so beautiful I can't resist, I just take pictures. Here's one:

Somehow, I'm certain you know why I captured this particular image 😉😁.

I've got pretty pictures of the green family as well, I guess I'll just make a post with the upclose prettiest ones. Here's a cluster though:
