Walking into the Deep End

hellebore.jpg

I can't hesitate to saddle up on the mood, swing with it like a pendulum, with energy that comes from something ignited within... Your happiness gives me pleasure, just watching you. Go ahead, blow the wind of joy my way... Só that I can inhale it too.

Come now, let us bask in the warmth of the joy, while I listen to your voice, letting it take me on this journey with you.

It stirs a place in my heart, these sweet layers of desire caught up in the accompanying words. That place in the sun filled with hope for everyone, bring your poor restless heart, lay it down, let it rest. When time is right, it will bloom once again.

Center Crest.png

Oh, lift my soul when it flowers
With a breath of fresh air
Blowing beautiful thoughts on my world.

lilies again.jpg

Oh, the allure of all things lovely.

She cast her fragrance and her radiance over me. I ought never to have run away from her... I ought to have guessed all the affection that lay behind her poor little stratagems. Flowers are so inconsistent! But I was too young to know how to love her

― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

These gentle little blossoms express the soft intimacy of the words. Betrayed not by its beauty, but rather the simplicity, where the less is best doesn't seem to work quite right. There's always the 'least amount" but no less. Less than the least amount and the content is not there. More than the least and its clutter.

Le sigh

I am complete captivated by the charm of the view, dancing across the page, often found in the most unlikely place. The one thing that is for sure in all this, there is always a flower somewhere on my page. Flowers. Always, to color my world. #alwaysaflower

Leaning into the night,
Waiting for my mind to separate
Reality from not

Desirous dreams seem to dissapate at dawn, leaving the longing behind.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Beautiful photos and words as always! Are you still on Voice? I've completely given up on them since their attempt to pivot.

Hello, Lars! @kommienezuspadt Thank you for your always kind words. I actually signed up and set up an account, but, sat and watched and just couldn't be part of that, sadly. I think that it could have been a go if they had run it side by side, but shutting off the social part killed the camaraderie. I totally gave it up and I am sitting over there, in name only.

What is in the news on your end? I have seen you are still killing it and seems you are still busy. Thanks for popping in. Anybody we know doing Voice. :)

No. They are NFT only. Pop in and look. Definitely not for me, although I liked it when it was a social.

Mood swinging like a pendulum, that sounds like me in the winter season. My mood is basically determined by the amount of sunshine we get hahaha

OH, you are speaking my tune! Bring on that spring! Last year, by the end of February, all our cherry blossoms were starting to bloom and the daffys were popped.

It cannot come fast enough this year. After two years of this, I am ready to shine a little sunshine on things.

Good morning from here!

Good morning from here! Happy #WednesdayWalk! I hope to get out today at some point. I was watching the weather for you this morning... Okay, I won't lie. My family called and were horrified at the snow they may get and what a difference the two models make! European path vs the other.

I hope for the best. That is too much snow to take all at once. As if the store shelves aren't empty enough? Now, they will strip them bare. I'll be thinking of you and Lulu, but, also know how laid back and resilient you are. :)xoox

Yeah the two models are so different but seeing them come closer together it should be interesting to see what we get

I think we have everything we need to get by if needed I am sure by tomorrow the shelves will be looking pretty bare

Good morning from here, Joan! @joanstewart I just came back to this comment from a couple of hours ago, seems my commenting/posting is last in my families priority. :)

So, good afternoon from here and thank you for your words, always soothing, calming and downright happy. I love following you around the platform, for your words are so thoughtful, wherever you go, whatever you do.

Thank you, always. xoxo

Thanks for the LUV and have a fabulous night! ❤️

Have a nice day. Whenever I see flowers, I get a hint of spring. These flowers convey a message of love and the thoughts written with them are also very good.

Thank you. It is hinting spring, but, we expect more snow by Friday, so those thoughts are put away. :)

Were you able to buy more Hive like you wanted to the other day?

gorgeous photos! The Helleborus caught my eye. I've planted one (which has yet to bloom again) and have another sitting in a pot waiting for softer ground to be planted. But of course, all the flowers are beautiful.

I love Helleborus and the different varieties are so wonderful. They are one of my favorites as they will bloom in the winter here, all the way into the spring. I hope you take some pictures of yours when they become photographable!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words.

Those roses are pretty awesome at the end. We have some fuchsia ones that grow in our back flower bed. It always amazes me how well they come back each year even though I trim them way down (basically to the ground).

Aren't plants just amazing? I cut my roses down to the ground too, then mulch them heavily. Actually, they get little to no care, I just make sure I take off the spent blooms and they just keep on blooming.

Fuschia roses? They must be gorgeous! I think I need to reconfigure my entire flowers beds this year. I made a deal with myself. If there is still too much COVID around, I'll do it, if it is open and we are able to move about freely, I will save it for another year. :)

Not going to be wasting another moment. Good morning from here! Will you be getting any of that storm that is lurking about?

No storm as far as I know but we are getting some pretty cold temps right now. We mulch around our roses every spring as well. I need to do a better job of watering them in the summer. They sit in a bed under our eaves and they don't always get the rain they need.

Mine are in the bright sunshine and I found the ones that get a little more shade look a bit healthier, but, they flower less. Just can't win. :) I see that the storm will be missing you.

How often does that happen? :)

Why do you like to end with "The road not taken"? Is there a message you want to pass?

0

Not at all. I almost always end with a poem, and I select one and use it for a while. I used a different one at Christmas and so on. It is a very beautiful poem and describes many different people's lives.

Do you find it offensive or perhaps a little redundant?

Actually, two of the pictures were taken with my Android S7 and two were with my Canon. I think a person can take good pictures with almost anything.

Thanks so much for your words.
