When the Sky Speaks

sunset of life.jpg

The sky. The change can come slowly, different from day to day, sometimes from moment to moment. Life has been a series of moments, strung together. Winter skies show me the golden sunset of life, shadowing me from reality. It whispers of change in the tide, but, it doesn’t change the fact that I cannot breathe without you.

I look in the direction of forever, with it taking me on a journey of longing.

Light and water, exchanging pleasantries before the appearance of daybreak. It began as rainy. a slightly foggy day, but turned it around to a better picture.

Light touches the landscape, saving the day.The foliage had finally taken leave of their senses, especially as it is officially winter.

Life is like a changing tree, with brilliant colored leaves
Beauty in each season with peaks of intense shows
Life is meant for living and delighting in each new day
Even as I watch the change
Before my very eyes
One by one I see them go
Until the branches release them all.

The rich hues of the season show off her beauty before they go to sleep, sleep, sleep. Winter is late this year, but, I feel it coming anytime soon. Still and all, there is #alwaysaflower from me to you, to color your world. And just like that, this post is over, come back tomorrow and we will do it again.

Because it's Tuesday, let's throw up a tree! #TreeTuesday with @old-guy-photos! Show me your trees! A girl can wish, can't she?

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

Oh, yes! The reality of it all.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Winter is late this year, but, I feel it coming anytime soon.

The snow is late for us in Hungary, but the winter (the frost) is not. The previous days were frosty, but according to the weather forecast, the upcoming days will be pleasant. There will be no frost during the daylight, just/only in the night. The current temperature outside is -1 °C. The February will probably be much colder than this.

Happy New Year.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

The whole world is having unusual temperatures! My flowers are blooming again. They shouldn't for another couple of months. I think that is nice that you aren't freezing though.

Although, what does all this mean?

I think that is nice that you aren't freezing though.

These temperatures are still cold enough to freeze. My hands were in pain this morning, and the temperature was 0 °C.

Although, what does all this mean?

Probably the climate change and the global warming.

You have always chosen the best words. Not everyone knows how to write well. Like words, your photography is wonderful. Have a great day

Oh you seem to be missing winter! Well we have plenty to spare. I shall do my best to send you a good portion. They say sharing is caring and I try to be a cheerful giver. 🙂

Ha! Really? I think perhaps you are so warm that you don't have any extra to give. You need to hang onto what you have and enjoy it! If you give me all that you have, it will only tear off that layer of warmth you were given. :)

Sharing is caring. You might be a cheerful giver... :)

All those photography are really awesome. Both the water droplets and the light look amazing. However, the sunset scene has been amazing.

Beautiful words and beautiful way of looking at life, that's right, life changes and shows us different perspectives and gives us several unique and special moments. That was my favorite part, quite poetic and very sweet and inspiring phrases!

I've just been thinking this morning, what direction should my path go, now that looking forward to Christmas things is fading. So many choices !

The Road Not Taken..... now there is an old memory. When I was taking piano lessons a hundred years ago, one of the pieces my music teacher chose was a melody that had these words set to it. That of course, meant I learned the poem too.

I checked before commenting to see if it was out there and it was on youtube ~! I can't say I think someone did it justice as to me, the melody is not special, but, here it is.

I have to agree with you. I like the song, but, they didn't do it any favors. Every good mother makes sure their young lady plays a proper piano. You know, in the olden days. Music came easy to Johnny, to the girls' dismay, they worked pretty hard for it. He just did it. Funny enough, he had the least staying power with it and preferred to move on when he could.

Back to you... how long did you take piano? Did you ever have to play in a recital? :)

I love getting together, family-style, and having several piano players to sing along to. It never gets old! We do it random times and then most holidays.

I am at loose ends right now, although the New Year is coming up and then... Valentine's Day! It can keep us going, yes?

I don't even like the song. Slow, morose, not pretty. Total injustice to great words.

Your comment about a good mother making sure their young lady plays a proper piano hit a sore spot with me. I started a comment that turned too super long, so I decided to make it a post instead. I will go finish it when I finish this shorter comment. LOL... I wondered what my next post would be!

I love singing and I love being somewhere that someone is playing the piano while others sing along. That just didn't turn out to be ME playing that piano while others sing.

New Year's ! Never been special to me. Sure, through the years I have been to a few parties or dances, but in general, it has never been a big thing in our family as a celebration and .... as an adult, I would just as soon get some chips and dip and maybe a bottle of wine or champagne for a Mimosa and stay at home.... off the road with all the drunk driving party goers. It is making me laugh to type this.

Valentines... well... although I am pretty neutral on it in general as a holiday, the only thing that can make it great is if I can find someone selling the original Stark candy hearts from my childhood. No other brand can compare to them. They sold to Spangler a few years back and they have had a hard time getting the original recipe back out. I have found a few here or there and when I do, I buy them all. That .... is Valentine's only saving grace. ahahahahaahah.... now back when I was baking, it was fun to make heart shaped, decorated cakes and spread them all around, but I rarely go to that much trouble anymore.

We're going to have to find something else to keep me going I'm thinking.

So you were speaking my tune with the piano lessons. That's why I laughed. New Years is not that big a deal and although I have been out and had a good time, more because of the people than the event itself oh, I have taken to having get-togethers at home, sometimes family members are still here from Christmas, though that's rare. My family is big on Gathering and singing, but don't get me wrong oh, that doesn't mean we have great voices just that they like to sing. LOL I will admit the Valentine's has a 100% commercial holiday, however because I love hearts in nature and other places oh, I use Valentine's Day to exploit my heart's. I still make Valentine cookies and I'm sure that I will this year although just like 2020 oh, I don't feel that good about giving unwrapped food out except to my neighbors. We used to bring them down to the police station and fire station and retirement home. I'm a check with the retirement home, and then you get us I right that I think I won't because I don't want to I think about being responsible for passing anything on. My neighbors on the other hand are fair game. Anywho I need another platform in which to Muse over. I'll be lost without it. Let me finish putting dinner together and I'll run over and look at your post. Happy Tuesday!

I don't have the post up yet, I'm am grabbing a few photos for it now. It could be a while.

Make a joyful noise is all that is required. Noise.... ha ha ....singing is so much fun.

I did make valentines cookies last year ... I think.... or was that the year before?? ha ha ...I can't even remember and it's not that I never do anything, it's just that it is not as grand of a scale as in the past. I love hearts too and happy sentiments, so I didn't mean to appear to be a Valentine's Scroogette about it, just that, well....I guess I don't make it a big deal anymore.

I understand about the homemade food/desserts and these covid times. Why does covid have to ruin all the fun ????
