"Mahindra" SUVs are also very popular in India. Very decent cars, very comfortable inside! "Mahindra Group", like "Tata Motors", was founded in 1945. The company was engaged in equipment for agriculture, and since 1949, in copying American "Willys" jeeps. These jeeps have traveled all over the outbacks of India! The "Willis" was replaced by the "Mahindra Tar" model with a 2.5 liter engine. Have you heard of "Mahindra"? Have you heard of "Ssang Yong"? And this is a subsidiary of "Mahindra", purchased in 2010. Alas, at the end of 2020, "Ssang Yong" went bankrupt. It's a shame, they were interesting cars. But there was no "Mahindra" at the Clarem Guesthouse, so no photos. In addition to the Indian automobile industry, Goa is full of Asian cars (Korea and Japan), because Asia is nearby! For example, in the photo below there is "Suzuki\Maruti Estilo". “Estilo” translates as “style.” Nice 1-liter hatchback on R13 wheels. This is a real car, not a "Tata Nano". The model is no longer produced.
And this yellow small car is a “Hyundai Atos Prime” with a 1\1.1 liter engine. India usually takes everything to itself, and therefore all joint automobile enterprises assemble cars in India. Jobs and all that! Competently! Now this machine is also out of production.
But they don’t like old "Volkswagen Polos" here and don’t even wash them (just kidding). The familiar “Clean me” sign on dirty cars is popular even in India!
By the way, on one of the paths of the guesthouse there is a legend of the local light commercial vehicle - "Tata Ace". Reliable “workhorse” with a 0.7 liter engine. The total weight of the transported cargo of such a mini-truck is 750 kg. And the speed is 60 km/h. But he doesn’t need more!
Near the exit of the "CHM" Hotel, a neighbor of the "Clarem Guesthouse" in the common area, there is a taxi rank. It's still early in the morning and the boss is not there. I will then tell you about our taxi ride to Agonda and back and what happened.

Aber alte "Volkswagen Polos" mögen sie hier nicht und waschen sie nicht einmal (nur ein Scherz). Das bekannte „Clean me“-Schild an schmutzigen Autos ist sogar in Indien beliebt!
Auf einem der Wege des Gästehauses gibt es übrigens eine Legende des örtlichen leichten Nutzfahrzeugs – "Tata Ace". Zuverlässiges „Arbeitstier“ mit 0,7-Liter-Motor. Das Gesamtgewicht der transportierten Ladung eines solchen Mini-Trucks beträgt 750 kg. Und die Geschwindigkeit beträgt 60 km/h. Aber mehr braucht er nicht!
In der Nähe des Ausgangs des CHM Hotels, einem Nachbarn des Clarem Guesthouse im Gemeinschaftsbereich, befindet sich ein Taxistand. Es ist noch früh am Morgen und der Chef ist nicht da. Anschließend erzähle ich euch von unserer Taxifahrt nach Agonda und zurück und was passiert ist.
Der Chef ist angekommen! Und es geht dich überhaupt nichts an, wie er hier der Boss wurde! Das ist Indien – ein Land voller Wunder und Kontraste!
