Yellowstone National Park: Animal Wild Life (III)

(Edited)

Hello friends!

Once again we travel through a fascinating natural place, full of wonders of imposing fire, powerful water, lush vegetation and also wild animals living in an amazing nature environment in the Yellowstone National Park.

In this impressive chapter of the trip through this mythical park, it is now our turn to discover the wildlife that lives there, different species of animals that coexist serenely or naturally in an immense space of mountains, trees, rivers and lakes, while those of us who go as invited to browse, we suddenly felt part of that whole pack. And seeing some of those animals that we couldn't see anywhere else is truly impressive. And photos are all real.

So let's get closer to some of them, some of the ones that attract the most attention and that we like to see the most, sometimes we even become exceptional witnesses of almost a National Geographic report. Here we enter another reality, real, natural and amazing!

Elks

The first thing we see are elks, but they are in one of the areas where there are facilities, but calmly as if nothing had happened. It is a fantastic feeling to see these animals, resting, and some with more antlers, somewhat more active. Although there was a sign that said do not approach, I was able to do so for a while without anything happening, but you always have to be careful and keep your car doors open in case you have to run!

Pronghorn or American antelopes

I had to make sure that the correct name of this animal species was that. Because in Yellowstone there is a great variety of animals, some similar to the same genus but similar subspecies. In any case, feeling like an explorer and discovering another beautiful animal in the undergrowth is extraordinary.

Wapitis

A moment in action, some wapiti who wanted to cross the choppy waters of a river. We stopped the car suddenly, got out so as not to miss that nature documentary scene in front of us.
The wapiti passes calmly, and then even crosses the road, paralyzing traffic, because in the park the animals always have priority, and you always have to stop (well, I missed the plane because of a big reindeer that decided to walk on the road alone during sometime and we could just go at his pace behind...).
Then we saw some more always hanging around near the water.

Bisons

And the star of the park, with the bears' permission... my favorite friends were the bison. A large and imposing animal but in reality they were calm and endearing.

We could see them constantly, walking near the cars, passing when they wanted, on our side of the window. Sometimes we went down to see them closer or take photos of them resting on those vast plateaus, a unique sight.

Even when it was getting dark they didn't care at all, that there were lights from the car headlights, they stared, and other times, they simply ignored you. It is impressive to be only centimeters away from such animals, even brushing against them from the lowered car window, but they are friendly, or they are already very accustomed to being the center of attention in the Yellowstone National Park.

Others?

There are many photos, many animals and many emotions.
Just a selection of what has impacted me the most, but there is much more: there are more animals, there are birds and fish, we even found some people fishing, there are also insects, butterflies and dragonflies, squirrels and other small animals.
But... the bears? Yes, there are also them, but in all the time we were there they did not show themselves, they live more hidden unless they smell like food, that is why the trash cans are made of iron and closed, because they destroy them, and it is not recommended to bring food in some areas or walk too far from the car, in case you have to run back...

We walked towards a lake along some path after reading the warning with some uneasiness but nothing happened, perhaps they were watching us from afar. Yes, from the car I thought I saw a small dark one, maybe it was just my desire or an illusion, or a quick image as I passed hidden among the foliage, we won't know, but the bears do live there, but they are more secretive. In any case, we never tire of seeing impressive wild animals in a spectacular natural environment.

A wild, wonderful and unique experience that makes us feel more connected to amazing nature and in some moments with an American documentary!
Still more soon...

Not in contact with Juditka anymore unfortunately as she is not active here and now Hive is the only platform I am using these days...
And as I don't have much time for more, it's enough so I didn't join Tangled and not my intention for now, and after the experience on Noise... probably I won't.
But say hello to Juditka!

I will try to visit tangled just to meet our old friends and community of noise and may be report back to you as well.

It's great to see wildlife at already cool places. Not seeing a bear reminded me of my time at Custer State Park. Over 20 different species of wild life and I think we seen 4, jaja. Some blend in with their surrounding well and hide.

No bears where I am at but there are a few cats (mountain lions) that have been spotted. Walking in the forest I always look up in the trees. Never seen one here though as I think the population is small. Seen one in South Dakota this summer when I visited from a distance while in car.

Yeah really exciting, an amazing experience, in some moments, at the beginning specially I felt some kind of "respect" for some friendly bison who was really close... jaja but I saw all of them were very calm. Thanks dear 🤗
