Point Of View

The film opens with the scene of the lovers Will Trainor and Alicia in the morning who have to stop because Will has to go to work. It was raining heavily that day and Will decided not to ride his motorbike and took a taxi. He was walking while calling in the pouring rain and busy roads, when he was approaching a taxi, suddenly he was hit by a motorbike rider from behind.

The scene changes to a young woman, Louisa, who is seen serving several customers at the cafe where she works. From this scene, it can be seen that Louisa is very familiar and liked by her customers, then the cafe owner apologizes for being forced to fire her and gives her severance pay because the cafe will stop operating.

Louisa feels sad because she doesn't have a job anymore and she is also the burden bearer for her family because her father doesn't get a job. In the midst of sadness she met her boyfriend, Patrick, who encouraged Louisa to keep working hard to find work and go to a job vacancy center. Patrick also told Louisa not to worry about their vacation plans, because he promised to pay for all of it.

Louisa eventually went to a job vacancy center and was offered to be a caretaker for a man with disabilities for 6 months with a decent salary and a workplace not far from her home. The next day Louisa went to a luxurious house where she would apply for the job. There, Louisa met Mrs. Camilla Trainor Will's mother. After conducting an interview, finally Lou was accepted to work there to care for Will. Although Louisa has no experience, Mrs. Will believes her cheerful personality will help
lifted Will's spirit. Will's mother wants Louisa not only to be her nurse but also to be a friend to Will. Will's mother introduced Lou to Will, heading to a room where there was a doctor who came to take care of Will every day, Nathan. Will acted strange and reacted coldly when he introduced himself to Lou. It has been 10 days working there, Lou feels bored with her job because of Will's attitude who is always unfriendly to her and thinks of herself as a fool. But Lou still tried hard to get Will's attention by always being nice to him, taking him for tea, taking walks in the park, etc. But Will's attitude remained unchanged.

Until one day there is a visit from Will's friend, Ruppert and his ex-lover Alicia, who tells Will that they are getting married. Of course Will feels sad because the person he loves will marry especially his own best friend. An annoyed and devastated Will ends up destroying all displays of photos of himself and Alicia. Lou cleaned the room full of scattered glass and tried to repair the damaged photo frames. But Will got angry and snapped at Louisa, telling Louisa that He deliberately damaged it. Will said that he didn't want Louisa by his side and asked her to leave. Lou said that Will had no right to fire hee because the one who employed her here was Will's mother, Lou also said that she didn't care anything about Will and Will's behavior to her, she did the job because she was forced and needed money.

After this incident, Will turned to befriend Louisa, invited her to accompany him to watch DVDs and became frequent talks with Lou. The days passed have made Will and Louisa even closer and closer. From all the doctor's care to Will's critical period, Lou knows that Will's illness will never heal. Until one day Lou heard the conversation between Will's father who had a fight with Will's mother about Will's decision to commit suicide at a suicide organization in Switzerland. Lou felt depressed and decided to quit working, but Lou's sister Katherine said that "We can't change someone's decision on anything but we can make something meaningful for before the end of that person's life, maybe he can change his mind". Since then, Lou has been excited to give meaning to Will's life so that he changes his mind that life is very beautiful. Lou started planning activities for Will, starting from seeing horse races, watching music concerts and also planning vacations to even going to the wedding of Alicia, Will's ex-girlfriend.

The days passed until the six month period arrived. Together with Nathan, Louisa and Will go on vacation to an island. They really enjoy being together. On the night before the fun vacation ended, Louisa revealed her heart, Louisa fell in love with Will and tried to convince her lover that life was worth living, that she would accompany Will forever. But Will expressed his desire to end his life, he really liked being with Louisa but he couldn't stay in a wheelchair forever. Louisa was angry and hurt until she was silent for the rest of the journey. After returning, Louisa resigned from her job and did not need payment for her work for Camilla Traynor.

After talking with her father, Louisa decided to visit Will one last time in Switzerland. At the end of his life Will said that the past 6 months were the happiest time for him. Will also died and left a legacy for Louisa, Will hopes that Louisa can continue her education, start a new life and don't think too often about Will. The film ends with Louisa, who is in a France cafe sitting in the corner recommended by Will, wearing her favorite black and yellow bee striped stockings for her birthday gift from Will, while reading Will's letter.

Honestly this is a very good film for me 8 for the rating, I enjoy every detail of the story. Feeling the emotions that occur, sadness, happiness, stirring my feelings how it feels to be abandoned by someone we love. And in the end, sometimes loving someone doesn't have to have it. At the end of the film Will writes in his letter "Live boldly Clark, Push yourself, don't settle. I'll be walking besides you every step away". So sweet moment ❤️
