A little Kindness Is Enough To Heal The World

Anytime the matter of kindness is discussed, my heart goes back to one of the teachings I received during my Sunday school days. The story of the Samaritan man who was later called a "good Samaritan" because of his deeds. One fascinating thing about his act of kindness is that the wounded man was a stranger to him, and he never gave a helping hand because he needed something in return. A replica of Jesus who went about doing good, not just to the rich or influential people of those days but to the poor and needy whom he considered to be the people who needed help the most.

Kindness means an act of lending a helping hand with the full knowledge that we need each other to survive. Until we start to see each other as one big family, our act of kindness may be biased. I need you as much as you need me, if only we can come to the full knowledge of this, then genuinely we will give out kindness freely to people who need our help in one way or the other. Someone once said 'our fingers are not equal' . Someone may lack what we have in abundance, sharing just a little with them might be all they need to live another day with hope.

Kindness is also forgiveness. To show kindness to someone may be to forgive someone of an offense, debt, or mistake. To err is human, this statement portrays how much we need kindness everyday from people and that's because of our imperfect nature. The world is short of kindness, people are bitter and there's no space left for forgiveness. We see ourselves as different people and we think of ourselves more than we consider the well-being of another. The world has a principle of everyman to himself, instead of using the knowledge that no man is self made to see to the growth of everyone.

Kindness, according to me, is looking beyond your differences and giving yourself to see to the needs of another. A little Kindness is enough to heal the world. We don't need to do something so big to make a difference, the little act of kindness we show to someone can promote peace, bring unity, and achieve the impossible together.

I'll end the post by sharing a story of two men who were from different tribes. All they knew about the other tribe was what their ancestors told them and there was nothing good they said about the other tribe. generation after generation they lived with so much hatred for one another. One evening, some travelers encountered a robbery attack on their way to a neighboring city and these two men ran into hiding. One had just a torch with him and the other had a loaf of bread. While in hiding, they shared everything they had with one another and when it was dawn they realized the one was from the other tribe with which they hated. But considering the help they rendered to each other during the time of trouble, they concluded people from the two tribes weren't as bad as they had thought and this brought unity between the two tribes.

Indeed little kindness is enough to heal the world

The subject of kindness is broad, the last story you shared shows a vivid picture of the potency of kindness if should be given a chance. It is a healer and a peace maker. We've heard stories of how men left their comfort zones to help the families of those who showed them kindness, conversely we also heard of those who were thrown down to the mud at the peak of their success of their wicked hearts. Where money and mundane yhings fail, kindness will always prevail.

Thanks for sharing this with us boss. Happy Sunday 🥰

Rightly said. Kindness often requires someone with a heart of empathy

Your reflections on kindness in this post were touching. Your story about the two men from different tribes learning to see beyond their differences is inspiring. You capture the essence of what it means to extend a helping hand without expecting anything in return, just like the good Samaritan or Jesus Himself.

May we all be inspired to embody such kindness in our daily lives and strive to make a difference, no matter how small, in the lives of those around us. Kindness truly does have potential to heal the world. If only more people would realize that we are all far more alike, than we are different.

I apologize for the late response to this post, I have been a little sick and am just catching up in reverse order. Thank you again for sharing.

Oh, sorry for that, Wishing you a quick recovery. I pray you regain your health speedily.

And indeed, we all hope people will realize our similarities the more than what makes us different.

Kindness truly heals the world and being truly kind is extending this emotion toward people whom we do not know as well.

Yeah, we can't claim to be kind if we only extend this kindness to people we know

Yes my friend a little kindness is enough to heal the world!

If we all decide to be kind to one another then the world will be a better place, free from chaos, violence and evil.

A little Kindness is enough to heal the world.
It is indeed. But most humans just think of themselves alone.
