Nature And I Are Brothers

It sounds stupid right? Like how could I be related to nature by blood? However, I know we are both products of mysteries. We both have seeds that contains life in it capable of reproduction. The beauty of nature is amazing, you see the flowers blossom, the mountains in its glory, the chirping of birds, the unity in some species of animals, the roles they all play in building structures and you wonder where they learned architecture from. Nature seem to understand seasons and time. When bees build a hive, when termites build a hill, when birds build a home, when a hare stores food, when birds travel far across countries during summer for reproduction, one wonders how they all learned these duties.

Daily we are in a relationship with nature. We breathe in oxygen manufactured by plants and plants inhale carbon dioxide exhaled by us. We eat from the produce of plants while plants absorb our waste as nutrient for healthy growth. We need trees to fight against global warming and climate change. We seem to be in a commensal relationship with nature where we both need each other to live- Isn't that what brothers do? Haha! Maybe not exactly as this but related in a way.

Around us is nature and from it we learn to make artificial materials. Stories hold that the invention of an airplane was inspired by a bird, and maybe speed was inspired by a cheetah- hahaha, that's me guessing. Aside from the fact that everything we build are products of the things around us, we have also learned a lot in the ecosystem of plants and animals. Some examples are of ants and termites. Ants could teach us the power of unity, they're so small, maybe the tiniest among insects but their spirit of oneness shows us how everything is possible if one practices selflessness.

The termites have hierarchy and everyone understands their position in this chain. Among them are workers, soldiers, a queen and a king. No one does the duty of another and no one fails to contribute to this building. The ornaments are plants planted for beauty, the flock of birds flying could be an amazing site to behold. Imagine the blue sky, the stars, the moon, the sun, the oceans, the mountains, the birds, and you'll have a reason to appreciate beauty in its purest form.

The cock that crows in the morning may be a natural clock telling us the day has broken. My grandpa while I was in the village would say whenever something tragic is about to happen, a specific bird chirps continually in a certain tone. We have a cool breeze from the ocean and trees that cool us from the spitting sun. We get our medicine from plants healing our sicknesses and making us whole. When it comes to nature we share a lot of things for our well being and pleasure.

Oh! So sweet, when you said nature is your brother! Smile.... true, i support this idea, humans relate so much in common with nature.

Hello @dwixer and thank you for your participation !

You illustrate well the principles of symbiosis of species with each other and thus their inter-dependent relationships rather than simple domination :)

I think that almost all inventions can find their origin in the natural environment... This seems obvious since everything artificial is attributed to Man who draws on the Natural to do this... It reminds me of lectures on bio-mimicry and of course Leonardo da Vinci's sketches of inventions.

Thanks again for a good and enriching read !

Be well,
I wish you a very good day :)
