Role of Technology In Shaping Our Future
Every Era has shaped us differently, and this is often to meet the demand of the current world. Some years back, before the introduction of smartphones, we were content with our daily lifestyle, and the Internet had no place in the hearts of men until we dived into the information and technological era where everything we did largely depended on technology and the internet. Gradually the Internet is spreading and building ground while our manual activities are slowly fading. This has called for the need to conform to this present age for survival and dominance.
Scientists have restlessly been involved in inventing what they term "A better future" for the world and gradually enhancing the web, hoping to reach a point of virtual reality where humans communicate in a world different from earth but share the same system of economy. In an attempt to reduce suffering, artificial intelligence has been introduced taking roles in virtually every area of life. Men in order to stay relevant had kept developing themselves to meet daily demand where AI is deficient. Gradually technology is taking over and less is required of humans. ChatGPT, an AI tool, can produce materials desired by it, and many other AI tools , and thus, many believe there'll come a time when humans would be at ease.
No one can exactly tell what the future holds, but with the rapid growth in technology, we can only imagine a metaverse where our possessions are digital and we're manipulated by chips to function in certain ways. Unlike the olden days, children growing up now are educated to be knowledgeable in computer and certain software, a privilege we never had, more complex machines are build that may not require some resources we use now, and watching this evolution over the years, the needs of humans are changing, ranging from how we earn to what we learn and invest in. We can only keep hoping for better ways to do certain things as long as technology remains.
This is just it, with the way technology is going, one might end up one day to see their phone walking around the house doing chores lol. I fear for what the future holds as regards technology.

With all this technology around my biggest sadness is how intelligent people are always thinking of how to get more work out of people with it. Rather than looking at a possibility of how to increase quality of life for everyone with the help of this technology.
Specifically with respect to the current onslaught of technology i believe the most valuable items will move from 'time' to 'focus' Everyone will be working on getting your focus - your attention on them. And you will be struggling to focus on what is right for you, at work, at play, in life.

Really it's disheartening that technology which is suppose to relief life's stress has become a point of burden to humans
