Suggestions For The Campusgistars' Community
The Campus Gistars' Community is a community aimed at connecting young students to discuss topics pertaining to life, cryptocurrency, relationship, finance, etc. This means, topics are introduced and opened for discussion among its members. Community on the other hand is best defined as a group of people who have common interests and share the same goal. To every created community,there's an ultimate goal in the mind of the creator aside from the description on the profile and one of which is to see it grow through engagement until its members bear the burdens of the creator. I have been in the Campusgistars' Community for quite some days now and I have noticed some things that need improvement or maybe a little adjustment.
The community has done well by creating a discord server that allows discussion among members and also initiated the idea of mentioning friends to participate in the discussion, thereby creating awareness of the community in the platform. These are great steps to take coupled with the fact that rewards are given and acknowledged for engagement. I also understand the limitation of the admin in his reward system which identifies users who only use the ecency dapp, this means, users who use other dapps may not feel encouraged to join because they may not have a share of the ecency point distributed to winners.
I have noticed overtime that the community doesn't have a curation trail, the contest posts are only voted by the admin. Yeah, I understand he may not feel apt to bother users but a community involves a group and not just a one-man thing and this also will help the community grow and improve engagement either through commenting or voting using the trail. Finally, maybe a change or adjustment in the reward system will help. A boost for ecency users and a reward in hive for users blogging through other dapps and this should be notified in the post. Honestly I haven't been active on the discord server but what about setting a day as members on the server to discuss matters on relationships, @zyzymena can help with this. Young students like to talk about relationships, this can capture the mind of many on the discord server and improve engagement in the contest. Finally, alright maybe the previous final wasn't actually final, you could open ground for sponsorship and support from whales, if they find the project worthwhile, who knows they may put in their investment.
What can I do to support the community?
The first best way to support the community is through engagement and participation in their weekly contest. But it doesn't end there, I could as well join the trail if a curation trail is opened and advertise the community to a lot of friends I have invited to the platform.

we used to have a relationship discussions on discord sometime ago, but we have suspended this to make sure we get more members when we reach an active 100 members we will open community account and begin the love shows again how ever there are some factors we will consider even before we get 100 members on hive that may kick start this.

Nice suggestions, I agree with you in all of them but I don't see how encouraging the use of ecency dapp is discouraging to those using other dapps... It's never a waste to gain points or other tokens even when you're obsessed with a particular dapp 🥲
I'll only suggest they add a general kind of prize to the ecency points prize they give... Obviously Hive (since it's the main coin of the blockchain).

Thank You for the feedback. I noticed of recent that people prefer the peakd dapp because he thinks it's easier, if the reward is only centered on ecency point such person wouldn't participate because he doesn't make use of the point. Adding hive like you added will be more encouraging
