Tale Of A Twenty Dollar weekend
The uniqueness about the dollar is that the value varies from different countries. I could feel like BillGate with the same amount that someone considers as not-enough. I'm from Nigeria, and the current value for a dollar in my country is #700, if I have twenty dollars, that makes it #14,000(naira), will it be enough for my weekend? Let's take a tour through my twenty dollar weekend and find out. The best way I'll spend the weekend is traveling for the purpose of visiting a tourist area. We have several tourist attractions in my state but I have never visited any. We have the Bina footprint in Lapai, the Gurara Waterfall, and a lot more. Twenty Dollars will be enough for the weekend. First, I'll visit the Bina footprint which is about 40-50km from where I stay. Stories hold that a traveler had settled on the rock and prayed through the night only to realize that his feet had left a print on the rock. It will be entertaining sitting in one of the auditoriums at the site listening to history and unveiling of mysteries behind the footprint and the rock or the traveler. No doubt, I'll end up eating some delicacies in one of the hotels or restaurants built around the rock. The journey to and fro Lapai should cost me #3000 while the meal #2500 which is a total of #5500. I'm still left with #8500 to spend.
The second day, which is on Saturday, will be a visit to Gurara Waterfall. It's around 70km from here. I have never visited any waterfall, I believe it will be a great sight to behold. The transportation to Gurara is around #2000, #4000 in total. What a great way to spend twenty dollars, visiting nature's bounty and appreciating mother earth. What will I do there? Dive into the water, go to the edge where the water falls heavily and have a shower, watch the height from where the water comes and allow my mind to fill with wonders. Before leaving, I'll get a bottle of soft drink and gulp down my throat and appreciate the wonder of a twenty dollars weekend.
