The 5 Minutes Prompt: knee problem
Ada cursed as she sat idly on a woody chair. It's been a month and two weeks since she had been suffering from a knee problem. It had started as a minor injury but gradually spread until she could no longer walk.
"How are you today?", her husband asked. Himself had been worried about her health.
"I am getting better, at least I walked down here with no support today," she said. She do not feel happy seeing her husband sad, she smiled hoping it will lighten him up.
He hugged her and left to continue his business.
Ada started to feel regret wishing she had not gone for the hiking. The experience was fun but it had made her a cripple for some months now. She was supposed to be the wife doing the house chores but there was her loving husband engage in women things even though he had never seen it as a problem.
After two weeks, Mr. Adekunle, Ada's husband met John, a doctor at the community hospital. Mr. John was kind enough to look carefully into Ada's illness, "She had a dislocation that was not properly attended to, but as an osteologist, I know what to do". An appointment was fixed and Ada's joint was straightened. In a few weeks, Ada's legs were strong enough to stand firm on the ground.
