Underneath The Skin

Underneath her rough skin
Is an unravel beauty
A heart that spread love
Beyond it boundaries

Underneath her wrinkled face
Is a smile that begs to find its way
She was a woman forsaken by people she loved
Physical perfection was not her friend
But underneath it was the sweetest soul

She lived like an outcast
In a land that birth her
She lost her smile
Amidst her own blood

But nature rewards its own
It looks beyond the surface
And gave her relevance
What was her crime?
She was like everyone else
Born as she was but even when she didn't have it all
She had a virtue underneath her skin

Beautiful verses that denote the loneliness of the abandoned and the sadness pointing out the furrows of the face marked by time.

Thanks for sharing.
Good day.

That's indeed true... A verse for a lonely woman

It is actually sad but real that most people who make impact in our societies are often treated as outcast simply for flimsy reasons especially physical appearance. This actually makes the good people want to keep their good locked up in their wrinkles as they have been publicly declared in gossips. But to be good without minding the reactions of the people is really worth it. I enjoyed the read Sir. I am motivated to do good no matter what.

This is true especially in the society we live today. Glad you've taken a decision to remain who you are.

Hmm, we will all get old someday, when we see any old person around, let's accord them so respect.

What a great poem, very thoughtful because we will all get old sometime in our life, but the skin is part of our body that won't take away how good a person you are, we need to respect our seniors more, cheers ♥

People often judge from the physical appearance but forget how sweet the inner side of them may be. But then nature always bring such people to a place they deserve
