Sveta Petka - St. Petka or Paraskeva

Sveta Petka ili Paraskeva bila je kršćanska podvižnica iz 11. vijeka. Rođena je u tadašnjem selu Epivatu, koji se nalazio na obali Mramornog mora.
Srpska pravoslavna crkva slavi je 14. oktobra po starom, odnosno 27. oktobra po novom kalendaru.

St. Petka or Paraskeva was an 11th century Christian ascetic. Paraskeva was born in the town of Epivates (close to today's Istanbul) on the shore of the Sea of Marmara.
The Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates on October 14 according to the old calendar, and on October 27 according to the new calendar.
