3 Reasons why DCity is the most BULLISH project on HIVE right now!

Simulator genre games are known for their slow-play gameplay, more relaxing rhythm, and even educational value they can provide for understanding how complex systems work. An exciting and growing game on HIVE has all of these characteristics, as well as being under active development by a growing community.

Today I will be taking a break from campaigning for DCity President to review some of the reasons I think this NFT-simulator game has potential to break out into the outside world.

My name is FARMER ECO and I approve this message!

Reason # 1 - Sociological Simulation

I am currently working on a fuller series about this, but there are lessons to be learned about how cities and complex systems work. The mathematical rules that DCity follows are relatively simple to grasp, yet quite complex in the variety of their execution!

Just the other day in the Discord, a user was asking why so many of the top players have 0 sim income....and we noticed that this phenomenon was pretty well-known in the actual world as well:

Consider, for your viewing pleasure - @ecoinstar's Luxury Village. This is a smaller, different version of the zero SIM whale accounts (think bankrupt Detroit), instead this is a subsidy protected tax haven (like Monaco):

Hey how'd those Immigrants get there??? Send them to Forced Labor!

So how does the subsidy work?

In this case, whenever the casinos are robbed for 400 SIM, the city only loses 207 SIM. This is a subsidy for moving the casinos out of the bigger city (also there is 'less crime' in the suburbs), but comes at an expense to the tax base overall.

There are many more interesting examples that we can pick apart in the future, like our forced labor camp. Adding in the card market mechanics, taxes, crime, popularity and events, DCity seems to be a pretty competent city simulator for training and educational purposes.

Reason # 2 - Active Development - Squared!

DCity's founder @gerber is known as a smart baby dev who can cleverly accomplish anything with his scripts. Open to suggestion and opinionated, @gerber is always up to many things at the same time! Active Development: check!

But when a decentralized game can allow other projects to develop on top, this is what we are calling Active Development Squared!

Legendary Prankster @nextgencrypto, aka BernieSanders, is implementing his own SHIT token into the game! Only time will tell if the Public Restroom cards will help in any way.

This will be the 6th sub-token that DCity has absorbed into its gravity, and it isn't even close to being done yet. If you have a token on HIVE, you should probably be looking at how to integrate with DCity!

Reason # 3 - Fun for small and big players alike

We have already published our best strategy for small accounts, dealing with the EVENTS. Because of such active development, there seem to be more possibilities in the works!

The DCity discord is active and full of lively people as well!

It is true that this is not a simple game. We, along with others, have been doing our best to help new players understand how to play, including that, even though it is tempting, it may not be the best idea to put all your money into new cards, there are other strategies - just like in real life!

Enjoy responsibly :)

In conclusion, we are pretty sure that DCity is one of the most exciting uses of NFT on HIVE right now (ID number actually matters in DCity!), and think it possesses several properties that will make it interesting to people outside of just HIVE. In the future, we plan to use efforts like @homeless-city in an attempt to take DCity into the mainstream.

We hope for your help!

Next step depends on what you got. Most cards provide either population or jobs (but not both) and you need the other side to round it out and get your city producing income. If it's a valuable card, you could also consider selling and roll new cards with the proceeds (or pick out a strategy and buy what you need).

I don't know whether the dcity.io page is Android-friendly, as I don't like to keep keys on my phone, but you can always check your city in the Discord, too.

Have you considered transcribing the text in the images? I know it's weird to copy out what is already shown, but it makes it a lot easier for anybody using google translate to read English posts.
