Colombian President Petro Gustavo proposes an International Forum to President Bukele

Guys the multi-polar world is really coming together. I see it everywhere, not just in the writings of Pepe Escobar. Its about more than just Russia, unipolarity is unnatural and it is coming apart at the seams.

El Salvador is hot right now, about how they cracked down on crime by putting everyone with a face tattoo in prison, and then working out the details, which they are still doing. The recent popular video was 2000 prisoners that had finished due process, moving into a newly inaugurated supermax prison.

If we imagine the discussion, the comeback is always gotta be - Bro, that's harsh!

But Bukele is clear - RESULTS are worth more than RHETORIC.

So Petro, a quite articulate and caring leftie, an extremely intelligent and crafty politician, who has moved impossible mountains to make generally positive changes in his political career, cites Colombia's case, a drop of 85% murder rate over the last 30 years (in Bogota).

But his conclusion is key: I propose an international forum

Bukele is not buying Petro's argument. His drop is bigger, and over two short years not 30 years. The dead don't recover.

But I do hope that this dialogue continues. This is what Latin America needs. Public and open discussion of real solutions, strategies and paths forward. The world is changing, especially for the periphery, especially for the Global South.

The global South is gaining agency.

And there are a lot of things to work out, Latin America is shaking out some bad elements:

Of course neither of these two have the whole picture (since nobody even mentioned CIA), but the call and response is very telling, and gives us a look into the dialectic around what is a deep reality - infiltration of Latin America by a sick, violent, satanic element tied to drugs, money and traffiking.

Let's see if I can enlighten non-spanish speakers.

Alejandro says But as certain Narco-groups financed the operations of M-19, Mr Petro owes favors, now they are being called in. Colombia continues to be a Narcostate

M-19 was indeed a revolutionary group that Petro participated in, and Alejandro seems to think that when Petro is talking about the violation of human rights for convicted rapists and murders, its because he owes something. Jose thinks this is preschool analysis.

According to him, You don't know what was M-19, or the history of our country, and you probably think what you say sounds smart.

Jose's response then includes the most important part:
Colombia indeed continues to be a narco-state, but because of it's inheritence from Uribe, who in his time did THE SAME THING as Bukele is doing today in El Salvador.

Tomorrow we will awaken, and we will see.

Every president from Peru, Bolivia, Colombia on up through Central America - El Salvador, Honduras, Guatamala, Mexico - knows these realities and has fought coups and golpes for going on 7 decades. No small amount of violence has been used, both by these states and against them. Only the peasants in the US don't understand: this is the historical corollary of the Monroe Doctrine they never say out load - Only we can meddle in Latin America.

Let me conclude by asking one question - how do you spot an infiltrator? Its true that they glow; the color of violence:

This is an important topic. I am not unaware of certain psychosocial realities. I would also like to call for an international forum.

I think it's good that the rate id dropping and that they are openly discussing it. At least in the US, it doesn't even look like they want to do anything about any of the crime issues.

I agree, this to mean seems very healthy exchange of ideas, even if some people imagines some Petro Vs Bukele. It was a grown up debate about a serious topic. Hopefully there is an international forum, maybe the US will send someone. Do you think they will be listening? Taking notes? or trying to tell everyone else how it should work?

Multipolar world is a framework for proper action.
