Cow or Car?

Currently we have neither, but after spending the last week around both, and talking to other Agricultors in the Farm and Garden Corner of BroFund Discord, and noting the price ranges are similar, I decided to ask the question.

Which would you buy, a Cow or a Car?

While visiting with some cattle farmers this past week, we observed a very nice mob grazing set up. I first heard about Mob Grazing with Joel Salatin in the US. Here, its called PUAD - Pastoreo de Ulta Alta Densidad. The High density rotational grazing stands in stark contrast to the more common method of allowing 2.5 acres per cow in a common fence.

We have also been looking at some very old cars, the type that can be fixed forever. I believe both models that we saw this week were rebuilt cars from the 1980's. The Nissan Patrol is a bit larger than the Suzuki.

High up in our mountains, transport can be difficult. But down near to the plains the cows have lots of room to graze. The grass has time to recover in the rotarional grazing methods, allowing it to be much healthier and absorb more carbon.

For a long time we have avoided both cows and cars, but now we are seeing more of them. These cattle farmers would like some help enriching their fencelines with useful trees and plants. More to come on that project.

Answer my question thoughtfully for some HSBI prizes!

Would you buy a car or a cow?

Cows freak me out. At this cannabis farm I worked at ... there were semi wild cows that would run down the street. They can run really fast! I had to jump into a ditch. They weren't trying to hurt me but they are freaking fast!

I'd buy a car LOL.

Hmm, given how little time my profession allows me to take care of a cow, and that i need to be able to move quickly on emergency calls, I'd go for a car at this point in my life!

how are you dear friend @ecoinstant good afternoon
What an interesting question.
If you have land where the cows can be housed, that is undoubtedly my answer.
raising cattle is a very profitable business, the first months as you know much of their mother feeds, once they begin to grow we feed them to pasture, the corral should not be very large, so that it does not spend much energy and consequently eat more, and in the last months before selling, the aliemtas with balanced food to get him to gain weight quickly, if the sales are without debás, the night before the sale you give him a lot of water, with this you will gain several kilograms.
With the cow you can earn a lot of money if you do it well, however, the car, I totally discard it, unless you have saving power, since the car has many expenses.
In short, I compared a cow.
have a wonderful afternoon dear friend

Just to be awkward I'd go for a goat and an ebike :) But cow given the two options.
Sustainability is my key, cow/goat gives milk, cream and cheese (and meat but I think Id go vegan rather than kill my animals)

Calf (or calves)... grow into cow(s), sell cow(s), buy car and new calves, repeat...
