Last week, the challenge was to let me have feedback about planning for next year's Saturday Savers Club. As always, lots of great ideas in the comments - plenty for me to think about!

We had comments from eight people and everyone who took part gets an HSBI share.
For new holders of HSBI, you'll find them under the "OTHERS" tab in your wallet.

This week's contest for an HSBI share and the chance to win an EDSMM!
Nominations for Savers of the Year Awards
Prizes: 1st - 5 SPI, 2nd - 3 SPI and 3rd - 2 SPI

In the comments, nominate your Saver of the Year and why you are nominating them. It could be any of the following or another reason entirely:

  • they embody get the rich slowly values of Saturday Savers Club.
  • they turn up every week, rain or shine, regardless of progress.
  • they have come through adversity and kept on saving.
  • they are super-supportive of other savers.
  • they contribute good hints and tips.
  • they bring good cheer and make us laugh 🙂.

Earn SPI!

Would you like to be a content creator for the @spinvest account. We're looking for one or two people who would like to write a regular post. Here's what it involves:

  • commit to a regular post (weekly, monthly, or for six weeks, to suit you).
  • write a post between 300-500 words long with the aim of engaging people on the @spinvest account under your own name.
  • posts can be about anything that interests you - crypto, general finance, saving, investing, your journey, commentary or profile of Hive Engine tokens or other cryptocurrencies.
  • respond to comments (I suggest you use your own account to do this, so you're also building your own network; any technical questions about SPI would be answered by @spinvest, so there's no need to worry about that).

We pay 5 SPI for every post published. If you have an idea and you'd like to chat about it, get in touch with me on discord: @shanibeer#7523.

We want to increase awareness and engagement of SPI and all the tokens in the family (LBI, CL, EDS, EDSM and EDSMM), so it would be good to have a variety of writers writing about different things that would appeal to different people. We also want to relieve @silverstackeruk of writing posts so that he can concentrate on building the different funds for everyone.

If you wanted to, you could write a set of six posts in advance that could be posted at later agreed dates - maybe something you could do over the holidays when you want an escape 😜.

Ground Rules:

  • The SPI family motto is Get Rich Slowly. This covers EDS, EDSM and EDSMM, the home tokens for the Saturday Savers Club, as well as SPI, LBI and CL. The bottom line is that we are looking for well-researched options which bring a steady income. Good options will have an identifiable and easily accessible team (with emphasis on more than one person involved), a clear plan and use case for the token, and transparency and accountability through regular reporting.
  • Individual members are free (of course they are) to publish guides to tokens under their own account - and any number of members can do that.

Most problems that happen are technical bugs and are quickly resolved once we know about them. Housekeeping for @eddie-earner, EDS, EDSM and EDSMM is usually done on Monday UTC.

Hey Savers!

I missed last week's post (a lot going on this week unfortunately) but as of today, I am on Day 47 of my personal 365 challenge! And I'm happy to report that it is getting easier and easier to save every day, and I'm actually starting to form that habit of making sure I have extra change sitting around to save back!

As for this week's challenge, I haven't been a part of this community for very long or have had the chance to interact with many members, but I think I would have to nominate @shanibeer for Saver of the Year! My main reason, she is the one who brought me to the Saturday Savers Club, and has definitely been a huge encouragement to me throughout my savings journey! You definitely embody the core values of the Saturday Savers Club, you have been super supportive through my journey and have given me amazing tips along the way!

I hope that the @spinvest account finds it's writer soon, and if I had a little more knowledge on any of those subjects, I would definitely apply! Good luck to those that do! :)

Wow that time of the year already! Congrats to this weeks winners.

As for nomination that is a tough one as there a few very close ones.

i will go with @justclickindiva as my first choice, she has kept going all year and has been a trooper and has promoted the savers club even in a mailer .

As for me I will put out my year end report next week, bad news and some good news in it, but more on that next week.

This week went well I got some more EDS, and EDSMM as well, buying when folks sell for less that they are worth.

Hello @shanibeer. I see you sent some winter weather down South. I thank you just in time for Christmas.

Saturday Savers, hope everyone has been doing well the past couple months. I've been extremely busy online, but especially offline with family medical difficulties. Only one more week to go to Week 52.

I want to nominate the three individuals above who I feel embody the spirit of the SSC with their commitment through adversity and still try to save. The reason I like these individuals are due to these qualities you list above:

  • they have come through adversity and kept on saving.
  • they are super-supportive of other savers.
  • they contribute good hints and tips.

I remember when both @phoenixwren and @ericburgoyne were having a few difficulties offline. Whatever the reasons, they remained in a positive attitude. Other people I know would be whining with a negative attitude. Instead they worked hard and showed us all what it's like to have issues in your life, but still move forward the best way you know how.

Several times I read where they may not have been able to do financially the set goals they had in mind, but still kept motivated. It motivated me not to give up even now when I'm not able to be as active due to medical issues with myself and my loved one.

They always visit my progress reports and leave encouraging words.

Then there is @hoosie. Since joining, I've enjoyed reading the progress reports set out so neatly. I've learned a lot from the information and suggestions provided. Always speaking positive about Hive, Savers Club, and life in general. Engaging on my progress reports is always helpful.

This club is perfect to achieve my New Year goals. I am ready to participate and share here my first entry. It only has yesterday balances, so next week will be the first with the real evolution.

I will learn as much as possible to improve my savings day by day. My goals are to achieve 4000 HP and 150 HBD before the last day of 2023.

Y'ALL I DID IT!
(Hi this is phoenixwren if you don't know my alt, lol)
I have ordered my keyboard!!!!! I found one with more to it for cheaper!
My goal wasn't the amount of HBD as much as it was a keyboard, that I had estimated the price for based off of what I had previously found to be the best priced one. But I found one for less money and more options, and I had enough for it already, so ...goal met!!! I'm so excited!!!! :D
