More about EDS tokens
EDS tokens are a low-risk income token, ideal for people who want to save. There were only 20,000 originally and they were all sold at 1 Hive each, with guaranteed earnings of 12% each year. You can now acquire EDS tokens through the EDS Miner token.
Earnings come from powering up and leasing out the Hive that came from selling the tokens, plus earnings from posts and comments each week. EDS pays out every Monday evening. Last week the pay out was equivalent to 23%.

1. Check Progress
Each week, we're going to check in through this post and see where we are up to. Our target for today, 18 December, was 25.43p. Next week, we'll be saving 25.92p and by Saturday we'll have saved 653.95 (that's 65,395p just compounding a penny a day)! 😁.
Each week, I'll be buying Hive for @susie-saver's account with the pennies we've saved.
Here's this week's results - 25.43p buys 16.40 Hive.
1180 Hive powered up in 51 weeks and the remainder invested in EDS and EDSM! Plus we're earning 3.22% inflation on powered up Hive, 20% on EDSM, 23% on EDS tokens and a little on curating and posting!

I have been staking my hive since I joined the hive platform at the end of April 2021. I am hoping to be a Blue Minnow by year end. It was a lot of work but well worth it and fun as well. Saving all the way. Take care.

We're running the 365 Challenge again next year and you're very welcome to join us and keeping saving and growing.
Thank you. I will be reviewing my goals for next year and establishing them around year end. Where would I find out additional information about the 365 Challenge?
The 365 Challenge for 2022 will start on 1 January.
We'll be compounding a penny a day (or whichever unit of currency you are saving), so day 1 = 1 penny, day 2 = 2 pennies all the way to day 365 = 3.65 pennies. In fact, next year we will be saving Hive, so starting with 0.01 Hive on Day 1 etc building to about 670 Hive Power by the end of the year.
There will be some back ground posts about it between now and 1st January. If you are following @eddie-earner, they will turn up in your feed 🙂

Hello @eddie-earner, @shanibeer, and all Club members. It's good to be in the Holiday season and almost year-end. It's been a long, tough one for a lot of people. I just hope that you all have had relatively good health and resources to manage all year.
The Saturday Savers Club have helped me be able to share my savings with family and others who are in need. That's the true spirit of the season.

I have several options for spreading around my 2021 savings of 529 HBD. With one more week to go, I'm proud o myself for staying fast and not needing to withdraw for living expenses. For many, this was necessary. I feel blessed.

Congrats to the winners! Oh I way guessed too low on the HP for Susie, huh? Lol.
So that statistic "become a minnow in a year," is that based on if you're saving HP as your currency of choice, I assume?
It was originally based on "if you are saving £670, can you become a Minnow?" For 2021, the answer was yes, definitely. However, next year, I am going to be saving Hive Power, rather than fiat, so there's a direct correlation. Also, we can focus more on the techniques that grow your account in the savings tips, in addition to the other off-Hive savings tips.
Incredible, I won my bet and also received a prize, I can't be more happy.
I'm curious to see how EDS works and maybe buy some on the market.
Of course I am still in the challenge this week and I hope to fall short of my HP bet by the end of the year.

There is no buy-back for EDS, but you can usually get a buyer in a few days if you list them at.95 Hive or less on Hive-Engine or LeoDex.
