SACRIFICIAL LAMB 🥺

To everyone out there who has built a community in the Crypto Space or still building, I must without any doubt commend your efforts for all you do. Now I have an idea of what it's like.😄

I saw a need in a city called Asaba, the capital of Delta State, 🇳🇬. There was a need for a Crypto presence even though I knew that there were folks who didn't want to come out openly to make such a reality.

And so I took it upon myself and began the movement "Asaba Blockchain Community (A.B.C) where we aim at educating those in the city and environs about blockchain and cryptocurrency, thereby increasing adoption.

So Dominic Ogwudu brought my attention to a tweet of a Binance meetup in the city, through the Binanceafrica community. I had less than 4 days to make plans to attend because I reside in Lagos, Nigeria.

I brought out my personal funds to make customized T Shirts for interested members who were going to attend. Fast forward to my travelling by road even with the increasing rate of kidnapping on the road, I still had to take that route😒.

A friend of mine even tried suggesting to me if it was worth it and I told her; Yes, simply because community building requires sacrifices and a lot of it.

I was opportuned to meet and network with some amazing people. One of the things that put a smile on my face was when most that attended were coming to meet me, saying they never knew there was a community in the city, then it dawned on me that we have more work to do.

To those I know running communities successfully, please how did you guys do it🥺🥺.

I know it's not going to be easy😕 but like #bitcoin, I'm thinking longterm and it's going to be worth it.
