Daft Punk have broken up

We have learned a few min ago that Daft Punk, one of the most famous and influential electronic song projects of the electronic music scene, has separated its formation as a duo. Earlier today, February 22, 2021, the French musical couple formed by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, have posted the clip Epilogue on their official YouTube; their message '1993-2021' seems to be quite concise and clear, and the duo's publicist, Kathryn Frazier, has confirmed to Pitchfork that the band has split up.

The musical meeting of its components

It was a musical plan that didn't last long, perhaps because of Homen-Christo and Bangalter's love affair with synthesizers and drum machines - and well, maybe it was much better that way. The New Wave's 1994 debut single, The New Wave, had a rather humble run, even though the follow-up, Da Funk, achieved worldwide success riding on Roland TB-303 beats, such a sure-fire cost back then.

You can hear that musical affair on Daft Punk's 1997 debut album Homework. It is indeed an anthem that basically the integrity of the entire civilized world has had a chance to hear, and gives an indication of the globality achieved by the duo.

Daft Punk's hits and misses

Back in 2005, we saw how Human After All possessed a more open scope, if possible, that would serve to change in head of the grid any live appearance of Daft Punk, continuously sensational with their events; the trail of the money would take us until the work Alive of 2007, for a creative retirement - big contract by means of - that would realize to arise the decisive construction of the BSO for Tron: Legacy, perhaps the exclusive factor that was lacking them to obtain a golden armor.

From Cinema to Grammy triumph: Daft Punk all-powerful

After an extensive and successful campaign of agitations in networks, Daft Punk presented Random Access Memories in 2013. As criticized by millions of musicians as it was praised and hummed by millions of other listeners, the single Get Lucky, which still resonates today, featured vocalist Pharrell Williams and guitarist Nile Rodgers as the featured guests. It managed to sell well over 9 million copies, and the album was useful to Daft Punk to demonstrate at the 2014 Grammy Awards on a relevance of such magnitude that we little remember in previous situations.
