"Ídolos" y la adrenalina de las carreras en Moto GP [Opinión] (es/en)
¿Quién de pequeño no ha tenido alguna vez la fantasía de vivir la adrenalina de las carreras de motos? Recuerdo de chamaco cómo me comía con los ojos las revistas, que en ocasiones me prestaba el vecino; allí se podían apreciar todas estas motos increíbles del circuito MotoGP. Este deporte en mi país está bien difícil de ver, aunque ya hace algunos años que no se hacen estas carreras competitivas y, por suerte, las pude disfrutar cuando niño.
Mi sueño siempre ha sido tener una moto, y no precisamente para correr; para eso hay que nacer con talento y pasión, lleva muchos años de preparación. Lo mío es disfrutar del paseo en moto por la carretera, bueno, si es que queda alguna carretera sana en Cuba. Me da lo mismo si es eléctrica o de gasolina; lo mío es tener algo en que moverme; la bicicleta ya me tiene acabado.
Pero sueño al fin, es una experiencia que muy pocos logran en este país. Dejémonos de tanta muela y finalmente hablemos sobre la película de hoy. Se trata de "Ídolos", la cinta de deportes estrenada en este enero del 2026 que fuera protagonizada por dos jóvenes actores talentos: Óscar Casas y Ana Mena, bajo la dirección de Mat Whitecross.
En lo personal, esta película me pareció impresionante por la manera en que se trabajaron todos los detalles en pantalla, especialmente con todo lo que le compete a dicha disciplina deportiva. Porque no solo la Fórmula 1 ha brillado en titulares de revistas de deportes; el mundo del MotoGP y Moto2 también tiene su encanto.
Precisamente esta cinta de acción y drama deportivo nos ha llenado el corazón de adrenalina y despertado ese aficionado al motociclismo que llevamos dentro. Adentrarse a disfrutar de esta película es como estar en el mismísimo "Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya" o en "Jerez", ya que la misma estuvo filmada durante temporadas reales de MotoGP en el año 2024. Contando con la colaboración de equipos como "Aspar Team" y pilotos reales del circuito.
En "Ídolos" podremos disfrutar de tomas auténticas de velocidad, derrapes, caídas peligrosas y toda esa adrenalina que corre por la sangre de estos intrépidos pilotos. La cinta nos cuenta la historia de Edu Serra (interpretado por Óscar Casas), un joven piloto talentoso con un futuro prometedor en Moto2. Pero de igual manera impulsivo, hasta el punto de que en ocasiones ha sido rechazado por su agresividad.
Su suerte logra cambiar cuando llega la oportunidad de pertenecer al equipo que lo vuelve reconocido en este mundo de la velocidad, pero con la condición de ser entrenado por su padre, el veterano Antonio Belardi (interpretado por el actor Claudio Santamaria). La película juega entre el drama del conflicto familiar de un padre que abandona a su hijo, un romance con una hermosa chica interpretada por Ana Mena y el plato fuerte de las carreras MotoGP y Moto2.
"Ídolos" no es esa película que pudiéramos considerar como una obra maestra del cine deportivo, pero si algo les puedo asegurar es que la misma es efectiva en su misión de entretener, emocionarnos con velocidad y dejarnos con esa sensación de querer pilotear una de estas increíbles motos deportivas.
Considero satisfactoria mi experiencia viendo esta película y, sin lugar a dudas, la recomendaría para una tarde familiar de domingo, especialmente para los que aman la velocidad y el motor.

I remember as a child how I would devour the magazines my neighbour would sometimes lend me; in them, you could see all those incredible motorbikes from the MotoGP circuit. It’s very difficult to watch this sport in my country, although competitive races haven’t been held here for a few years now and, luckily, I was able to enjoy them as a child.
My dream has always been to own a motorbike – and not exactly to race; for that, you have to be born with talent and passion, and it takes many years of training. My thing is simply enjoying a ride on a motorbike along the road – well, if there are any roads left in decent condition in Cuba. I don’t mind whether it’s electric or petrol-powered; I just want something to get about on; cycling has really worn me out.
But it’s just a dream, after all – it’s an experience very few manage to have in this country. Let’s cut the chatter and finally talk about today’s film. It’s Idols, the sports film released in January 2026, starring two talented young actors: Óscar Casas and Ana Mena, directed by Mat Whitecross.
Personally, I found this film impressive because of the way every detail was crafted on screen, especially everything relating to the sport itself. Because it’s not just Formula 1 that has graced the front pages of sports magazines; the world of MotoGP and Moto2 has its own charm too.
It is precisely this action-packed sports drama that has filled our hearts with adrenaline and awakened the motorcycling fan within us. Diving into this film is like being right there at the ‘Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya’ or ‘Jerez’, as it was filmed during actual MotoGP seasons in 2024. It features the collaboration of teams such as the ‘Aspar Team’ and real riders from the circuit.
In ‘Ídolos’, we can enjoy authentic shots of speed, skids, dangerous crashes and all that adrenaline coursing through the veins of these intrepid riders. “Ídolos” isn’t the sort of film we’d consider a masterpiece of sports cinema, but if there’s one thing I can assure you, it’s that it succeeds in its mission to entertain, thrill us with speed and leave us with that urge to ride one of these incredible sports bikes. I found my experience of watching this film thoroughly satisfying and would, without a doubt, recommend it for a Sunday afternoon with the family, especially for those who love speed and motor racing.
