Recreating version of Merlina Addams (black and white) - October Initiative 🎃

Hola amigos y amantes de la moda!!

Les doy la bienvenida a mi blog con una nueva propuesta para la iniciativa del mes en la comunidad de @hiveredcarpet inspirada en el terror en colaboración con @zonadeescalofrio. Hoy con un outfit recreando a un personaje proveniente de una de las familias mas icónicas y peculiares, en donde predomina el misterio y los colores blanco y negro. Me refiero a la familia ADDAMS, específicamente a la pequeña MERLINA ADDAMS, un personaje que cobro importancia gracias a la serie de netflix con su nombre "MERLINA" o "WEDNESDAY".

Creo que esta idea se la debo a una prima a quien le encanta mucho esta serie y de su cumpleaños quería su fiesta con esta temática, así que mientras buscaba ideas para su decoración, se me ocurrió disfrazarme de ella combinando y jugando con algunas prendas similares a los looks en donde la actriz Jenna Ortega interpretó al personaje de Merlina, inclinándome mas hacia el look en donde ella acudió a una fiesta y realizo el popular baile que se viralizó en tik tok. Además a esto, pensé en colocar en las fotos finales una edición con un filtro en blanco y negro para agregar mas ambiente, como en la versión original de los años 60.

Para mi disfraz use un vestido cuando fui a una fiesta de cuando tenia 15 años, y aunque me queda bastante corto aun me sirve y creo que queda perfecto para el look que buscaba. Ademas encontré entre las cosas de mi papá unas medias largas en color negro que combinarían muy bien con las botas que tenia en el mismo color. Otro accesorio que le agrego mucho detalle a mi look fue un guante en forma de araña que hizo mi mamá, ella me lo sugirió y la verdad me gusto mucho como quedaba. Ya para terminar hice un maquillaje bastante sencillo con una base blanca para parecer pálida con algunos detalles con sombras negras y un delineado en la zona de los ojos. unas trenzas en el cabello y un tela de encaje amarrada en el cuello y listo! solo queda entrar en el personaje para formar parte de la familia Addams 😄.

Hello friends and fashion lovers!

I welcome you to my blog with a new proposal for the initiative of the month in the community of @hiveredcarpet inspired by horror in collaboration with @zonadeescalofrio. Today with an outfit recreating a character from one of the most iconic and peculiar families, where mystery and black and white colors predominate. I'm talking about the ADDAMS family, specifically the little MERLINA ADDAMS, a character that became important thanks to the Netflix series with her name "MERLINA" or "WEDNESDAY".

I think I owe this idea to a cousin who loves this series a lot and for her birthday she wanted her party with this theme, so while I was looking for ideas for her decoration, it occurred to me to dress up as her combining and playing with some clothes similar to the looks where the actress Jenna Ortega played the character of Merlina, leaning more towards the look where she went to a party and performed the popular dance that went viral on tik tok. In addition to this, I thought of putting in the final photos an edit with a black and white filter to add more atmosphere, like in the original version from the 60's.

For my costume I used a dress when I went to a party when I was 15 years old, and although it is quite short it still fits me and I think it is perfect for the look I was looking for. I also found among my dad's things a pair of black tights that would match very well with the boots he had in the same color. Another accessory that added a lot of detail to my look was a spider glove that my mom made, she suggested it to me and I really liked how it looked. Finally I did a pretty simple makeup with a white base to look pale with some details with black shadows and eyeliner in the eye area. some braids in the hair and a lace fabric tied around the neck and that's it! it only remains to get into character to be part of the Addams family 😄.
