My three favorite songs for the week

avatar

I have listened to these songs since I was a child but never knew the titles, the names of the artists, or the lyrics until last week. When I decided to shake my music up a bit and look for something new to listen to, I found these R&B love songs on BoomPlay. I placed it on the "play all" setting and allow them to run through it. From this act, I filtered three songs that were familiar except I did not know any of the things I listed above about them. And I placed these three on repeat.

Today, while thinking hard about what songs to use for #ttt, I remembered those three songs and I am glad to share with you my three favorite songs for the week.

The first one is Cry Me a River by Justin Timberlake. And in this song, the artist seemed to have been in love with someone to whom he was willing to give everything. But the girl had other plans, probably did not feel or believed to be loved, and kept having other guys.

One day, she left him for the other person but is coming back to tell him she's in love with him. And Justin is telling her that it is her turn to cry because he is no longer interested. After all, for all he knows, she could be confusing him with the other guy.

I would do that too. I wouldn't want to have a love that I'll have to keep looking over my shoulder. So, this girl definitely needs to cry as many rivers as she wants.

The second song, 7 Days by Craig David is the song I know that Dad often played and I'll move to the rhythm, and beats, and just smile. Again, I had no details about the song, I just loved the flow. But when I listened last week, I figured out this guy met a girl who asked for the time and he said it would cost her. And the cost was her name, her digit, and a dinner with him at nine (9) the next day. She asked for the details of the date and finally agreed.

Craig David is telling us how his entire week went with this girl in the picture and if you listen closely you will figure out that he had a lot of fun and chilling. From Monday to Sunday, they enjoyed themselves and each other's company so much that Craig doesn't want this to be a nightstand but a continuous shot.

So he asked her that she reaches out when she needed anything and that he will always be there for her. I love this kind of coincidence especially if it leads to something fun and exciting.

Finally, the last song on the list is Let me love you by Mario.. wow, this is a typical love that wants to show the other person that they deserve more than what they are getting in their current relationship. Especially if this individual is in a toxic relationship.

source

Mario watches this girl getting hurt every time but she is not letting go of the man who is constantly hurting her. Mario is putting in a request that he would do her right because she's the type of woman who deserves good things. And he wants her to allow him to love her.

My heart does bleed for her for not seeing she deserves more and walking out of her toxic relationship. But I am hoping that Mario was able to convince her.

There we have it, my three R&B songs for #threetunestuesday. A music initiative organized by @ablaze. I hope you enjoyed them. Cheers 🥂

Alert alert, we've found someone from the past😅. On the real, these are really nice songs. I thought I was the only one who still enjoyed songs from the past.

I would do that too. I wouldn't want to have a love that I'll have to keep looking over my shoulder. So, this girl definitely needs to cry as many rivers as she wants.

😅 heartbreaker in the building. I'd probably do same. No one should be an option.
