Meet Lord Shimura at the Old Hunting Camp.

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog.

Today's mission was to meet Lord Shimura at his old hunting camp. He was waiting for me there, so I needed to arrive as quickly as possible. , The camp was about two kilometers away from my current location. Traveling that distance on horseback would have taken a long time, so I used 'Fast Travel' to reach a nearby spot. From there, I had only four hundred meters left to go.

I encountered the first obstacle right on the path. Three Mongol soldiers stepped up to confront me. Since they were few in number, I engaged them directly. In an instant, I cut them all down. The fight ended so quickly that my sword didn't even have time to heat up properly.

But as I advanced a little further, I encountered another group of Mongols. This time, the situation was not as simple as before. One of them wielded a flaming sword, while another was shooting fire-tipped arrows from a distance. I realized that a fierce battle lay ahead.

I started by throwing a smoke bomb. As the area became covered in smoke, I used the 'Chain Assassination' skill to take out three enemies at once. The soldier wielding the flaming sword was still alive and kept lunging at me. I patiently dodged every one of his attacks. I executed a 'Perfect Dodge' at the right moment to counter-attack, finishing him off with a single blow. After eliminating all the Mongol soldiers in two separate skirmishes in this manner, I safely reached Lord Shimura's camp.

Upon arriving at the camp, I found Lord Shimura and Kitaro already waiting. Seeing me, Lord Shimura asked if everything had gone according to plan. I informed him that I had successfully delivered his message to Goro. Goro has agreed to help us; he will travel by boat to the mainland to seek assistance from the warrior monks, so that they may return to Tsushima with reinforcements.

After hearing everything, Lord Shimura said it would not be wise to set out immediately; starting the journey after dark would make it easier to evade the Mongols. So, we waited until nightfall.

As night fell, the three of us headed towards the river. we discussed how to get Goro and Kitaro across the water safely. Since Mongol patrols were active along the entire river route, even the slightest mistake could have ruined our entire plan.

Upon finally reaching the riverbank, I found Goro already waiting there. We all headed to the seaside, the starting point of his journey. There, Goro shared a crucial piece of information with us: Fort Mitodake, situated right by the river, was now completely under Mongol control. Massive fire-launching weapons were mounted atop the fort; should any ship attempt to advance along the river, they could easily sink it by firing upon it.

Upon hearing this news, Lord Shimura took the responsibility upon himself. He stated that Goro would simply await their signal; first, they would liberate the fort from the Mongols. Once the stronghold was captured, the signal would be given, allowing Goro to safely set out for the mainland via the river route.

Thus, the first phase of the mission concluded. Now, the major battle to capture the fort lay ahead. The outcome of that battle would determine whether Goro could safely return with reinforcements.

Throwing a smoke bomb into the second group allowed you to turn a chaotic ambush entirely in your favor. You're quite good at living the life of a samurai.

The Mongols brought fire arrows and flaming swords to the path, without knowing you brought a pocket full of smoke bombs. I liked watching you in action.

Fast Travel was definitely the smart choice here. Saving time on the journey let you get straight into the action without spending time riding across the map.

Shimura instantly volunteering to go liberate an entire fort just so Goro can have a peaceful boat ride, was a cool choice to make. Says how he care for his people.

The second encounter looked much more dangerous. A flaming swordsman supported by fire arrow archers is a combination that can overwhelm you if you're not careful. But you did very well.
