KEY STEPS TO TAKE BEFORE A SONG RELEASE

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

In my seven year career as an artist i was independent for five years and in those years i put out over a hundred songs and collaborations that did less for my career than the two songs i have put out since i have been signed.
the reason is that artists are very passionate and impulsive people and often give no little or no thought to the strategies and steps required to ensure the sucess of their releases.
In this video i have shared some essential key steps that artists need to take to ensure that they maximize their somg releases with the resources at their disposal.
I have used these steps on my last three releases including the song i am currently promoting which is the snippet i shared in this video, if you like the song please do well to check it out via the link in the comment section.
let me know your thoughts and reccomended pre release steps.
peace and love

So, how does a newcomer get people whom he or she can reach out to before the release?

Do you have to be the one doing the contents?

Do you have to do all of these by yourself? I mean the blogs, media houses, etc stuff.

Edit: I didn't see the link to the song you promised 🥺

Well the truth is ideally you need a whole team to do everything you need to do but unfortunately until you get to a certain point in your career you will have to do all these things by yourself.

I completely understand. The initial stage will require that you do things by yourself.

But I have a feeling that if there was enough fundings to finance those tasks, you wouldn't need to do them yourself, would you?

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

The one unfortunate thing I’ve come to learn is that money doesn’t exactly but you the right people.
You could spend 200k to get radio play from one station using a particular plug and spend 50k on the same station next time using a different plug. I personally feel like it’s more important to find people who are as passionate about your vision and brand as you are…and finances don’t exactly help with that. Some people want to see how far you’re willing to go by yourself before they step in.

Let me know what you think about the song when you listen 🙏🏽

I agree too. People first before spreading the money around.

I'll let you know. When I listen. I have just been really busy.... Look at me responding to this comment today.. lol
