Erionota thrax and Udaspes folus

Hello dear friends, good night wherever you are, how are you tonight?

When the morning sun shines brightly it is the right time to hunt for beautiful and interesting insects like the tiny butterfly that I found today. Incidentally, today I found two types of tiny butterflies that are similar, there are only a few differences. They are sucking nectar from the same flower.

The butterflies are named Erionota thrax and Udaspes folus, both of which are both tiny and attractive. At first I thought it was the same butterfly. After I observed, it turned out that there was a difference in the wings. The Udaspes folus butterfly has white spots on its wings, while the Erionota thrax butterfly only has a plain color without any other colors.

In addition, the way they suck nectar from flowers is also different, the Erionota thrax butterfly sucks nectar with its wings tightly positioned while Udaspes folus has its wings open. The differences are equally interesting.

Even though there are many differences, they are still brothers and sisters from the same family, namely Hesperiidae. And at first they were also found in the same country, namely India. That's all for this meeting, see you next time.
