Fungifriday | Fomitopsis Pinicola
Hello dear friends, good night wherever you are.
On this occasion I would like to show some of my macrophotography pictures of the mushroom fomitopsis pinicola for all of you in the #FungiFriday community organized by @ewkaw.
I found this fungus fomitopsis pinicola growing on a long-dead coconut tree that is now rotting. This fungus also does not grow on dead trees, it will grow on trees that are still alive and mossy, mostly on areca nut trees.
The fomitopsis pinicola mushroom also cannot be consumed, because the flesh is very hard like wood so it is not suitable for food. If you look at the color, it is very tempting, which is brown in a white mix. When I saw it I was very attracted by the unique shape and color.
On one of the mushrooms there are two drops of morning dew, after I took a picture I realized that there were water droplets on the mushroom which made this mushroom seem more attractive. If you look at the shots of the water droplets, they look like a pair of eyes, it's very interesting for me.
This mushroom is a fungus that is easy to find, because its growth does not have to be in the rainy season. In addition, this fungus is also a durable fungus, when the brown and white colors turn black then this fungus dies. But there are also those that are not immediately rotten.
