Three types of mud smearing wasps
Today I met three beautiful wasps sucking nectar on the same flower. These three wasps are known as mud-smearing wasps or their nests are made of mud, so they are known as mud-smearing wasps.
Sceliphron wasps are wasps that make nests out of solitary mud. This wasp is from the genus Hymenoptera which is also included in the wasp family Sphecidae. This wasp has a unique characteristic, namely its very slender waist, only the size of a needle. The color is also beautiful, namely shiny black and a unique yellow waist.
The wasp Chalybion californicum has a super pretty color, it's a very shiny metallic blue. This wasp belongs to the genus Chalybion and also belongs to the family Sphecidae. This wasp also has a very slim waist, almost the average wasp has a slim waist. For their nests they build from ordinary mud.
This is a wasp Parancistrocerus belonging to the genus of pottery wasps and belongs to the family Vespidae, in contrast to the two wasps above they are from the same family, you can say they are brothers. The color is also no less beautiful than them, black with yellow stripes. The waist is also slim but not as slim as them.
