Bug From Starship Tropper

I think I mostly forget the details of this old movie, since I only watched it once during my childhood, or my teen times in my uncle's house. I don't have a TV back then, only in my uncle's house, in which the house is side by side with my parent's house.

I didn't understand English back then, but not a problem since the TV station provided subtitles. So the details of the movie are still a little bit blurry, all I can remember is that the bug can be really scary in a faraway planet.

if you look at the faces of the cicadas below, I think we should be scared a little bit if they ever get that big like in the movie. Look how sturdy the face of this cicada is. Like they are ready to attack, and there is nothing we can do about it.

And now look at the eye of this cicada, it has very big eyes, and also they are separated quite far from each other. It also has a very nice pattern on its eyes, you can see it below. I think they also have compound eyes.

Now let's see the wings of this insect. It has almost transparent wings and only shows what it seems to be the vein of the wings. The vein also makes a very nice pattern, and it looks so strong, and it is strong and rigid. A lot stronger than other wings.

Haha, your words made me imagine insects attacking us 😂 It's just good the cicadas are harmless hehe.

Beautiful shots as always. You have taken a great detail of the cicada's head and its wings.

That would be scary isn't it? our tools at home would not be able to penetrate the sturdy part of his face. !LOLZ

Cicadas are super cool. I used to grab them as a kid. Such docile creatures (for an insect).

I think there is a species that need 17 years for its life cycle in North America isn't it? But it will make a very loud sound, if they are a lot, than it will annoy a little bit.

Yes, they are really loud when they come out. Together they create an ear-piercing sound, but eventually one gets used to it, and then the sound becomes kind of nice.

Really beautiful shots of the cicada, the design of its wings are admirable. Now, I'm picturing how a giant cicada will look like flying through the sky :)
