I took these photos at my parent's home when I was home during the holiday sometime ago. I was home, and wishing to be able to do a lot of macro photo hunts, since there are many places that I could visit.

But in reality, I could only do a few short photo hunts, since when I was home there were several Religious ceremonies in line, so my wife was busy preparing them, so it was my duty to babysit my son, thus limiting my time for doing some macro photo shoot. I guess, my son has to come first, maybe when he is getting older, I can buy him a dummy camera to join me for a photo hunt. haha

During that limited time, I managed to spot this fruiting body of the moss in part of the wall at home. I only managed to take three shots, but It turned out to be a little bit different. The moss looks really different under the macro shot, who would think that the moss has this majestic towering body part?

I took this first one in the landscape orientation, and the diffuser managed to diffuse the light from the external flash quite beautifully. Maybe I should have made it a little brighter. What do you think?

And this one, I took in the portrait orientation, and the light from the flash gives a little bit of dramatic lighting from the side. which is quite nice for me. Maybe I should start playing with the lighting in the future if the condition is right, and the subject want to sit still, or when I find the immobile subject to photograph.

The white spot which looks like a flare is one of the downsides of using my current macro setup since the light is reflected inside the extension tube, giving this white flare on the result.
