Polyrhachis

I found this peculiar ant resting on the leaf. It was a cold morning, with some dew drops still visible in the leaf. Because of the cold weather that might make the ant sit still and not bother with my presence. I was happy because he gave me some time to take a few shots.

This ant belongs to Polyrhachis Genus. We can see it from two horn-like structures at the back of its body before its abdomen.

What I love about this ant is its blood-red color, which makes it more interesting to photograph. also since it want to cooperate with me makes make more than happy to see him.
