Ropalidia on Their Nest

Have ever been stung by a wasp? even the smallest of their kind is packed with a great punch. Sometimes it can make stung area to be swollen, and don't ask how it feels when you got stung, the sensation is, well a bit painful. 😅😅

I found this Ropalidia wasp or paper wasp in one of the statues in my workplace. They are already having a big nest there. I was lucky that I was not cleaning the statue when I found them. Because the last time I disturb them in their nest, was when I had the privilege to try their stings. 😂

They live in a colony with several adults who will swarm around when the nest is disturbed. So you know what to do when you saw so many of them flying around.
